iHome AutoVac Luna Pro 3-in-1 Robot Vacuum & Vibrating Mop - Alexa Capable, Auto-Empty Base, Self-Charging, Smart Front Laser Navigation, Application Control

The Ihome Autovac Luna Pro is made in PRC (china). The vacuum and base are great. The little robot goes around sucking up things, and the base sucks them out. When that part works, it's a five star setup. The trouble is that is about half the time. The other half of the time your futzing with the software, trying to get the map to work accurately, and the little robot gets lost or trapped and just shuts down. I recommend running this when your home so you can put it back on the charging base when it gets lost. The battery lasts for about an hour, and then the robot has to go charge at 20% battery remaining. The software, Ihome clean, was not on the Google Play store in late October and early November (it was as of Nov 15, 2022). The software is the worst part (easily a 2 star and a good candidate for 1 star) of the setup. The maps get tilted and the area's no longer match up. Delete and re-map each time. I also delete and reenter the schedules, but it seems to have trouble with those too. I did update to the latest firmware, and that did not fix anything, as it gets lost more. Good unit, but the software borders the whole thing as unusable.UPDATE: On February 20th, 2023, the vacuum refused to power on. The charging base showed that the Luna Pro was charging. The Luna Pro never powered on, even after twelve hours of charging. I took the battery out (unplugging it, waiting a minute, then plugging back in) and then the Luna Pro would power on. I am not sure why this happened, as the unit made it to the base for charging properly. Weekly cleaning of the vacuum helps, as our hardwood floors seem to foster dust in the wheels and sensors.UPDATE: As of February 28, 2023, the unit is back to occasionally getting stuck. I now do a "deep clean" of the unit weekly and use compressed air to clean out the swivel wheel the vacuum uses to keep track of its position. I have mostly wood floors and that keeps the unit dusty. Regular cleaning has resulted in a functional vacuum that still has software/mapping issues. I have tried to make use of "no go" zones in places where the vacuum get stuck, and these work until the map goes wonky due to the position sensor getting blocked with dust. I have learned from others with these robot vacuums that routine cleaning is a must with wood floors. I'm still hoping for an app update to improve map management. I would love to be able to copy an older map into the current map without changing the copy.3 stars

I had purchased 2 of these vacuums. I had them for a little less than a month. Completely stop working could not even power on or charge because of error codes. I contacted manufacture and its a known problem they thought they fix but turns out it has not been corrected and they know about it and are doing nothing. Save yourself the time and money and do not purchase this product!

Easy to set up, great suction, mopping capability is fantastic with great scrubbing action! Mapping is accurate

REVISED - 2 week update: The iHome was originally functioning very well, however, now sounds like it is grinding gears. It is extremely loud. I’ve taken it apart and it cleaned it thoroughly but I believe it is a function that is internal. I was very disappointed by this! I had high hopesOriginal comment:I already have a very basic Roomba and I was curious to try this 3-1 Luna Pro. I was very impressed!First, this little machine has a excellent self-mapping software within the application that is so helpful to observe its route. It doesn’t miss a beat! Really, much better and more organized than my basic Roomba for sure. It seems to clean very thoroughly and have a excellent suction power for vacuuming.For the mopping, I wasn’t as impressed. However, I didn’t expect it to deep wash my vinyl flooring at all. It did clean a bit, but also went over the rug (about a quarter in).Overall, the sensors on this little machine are incredible. It very carefully goes around furniture and rarely bumps into anything. It is quiet ! Which my dogs absolutely love. Even my cat isn’t petrified of this machine, I caught him playing with it.Of course, your not going to get a full board clean with this. I use it on days I just need to go over the floors and pick up dog and cat hair ( I have a lot of pets). But it does pick up more than my Roomba (which is a yes for me).Overall, I think this setup/machine is very worth it!

This is my first robot vacuum purchase. Being a techie, I really liked the sensory and artificial intelligence comes with this robot.Plus:* Installation was not really hard, but not easy either. The trick is get the robot to map the whole flooring before instructing this to clean those areas. I was able to get the mapping done in 2 days. The robot has good sensory and it improves the maps every time it goes out to cleaning.* Easy to use the app - You can segregate the floor by area/region and rooms. it lets you rename the area as well. Some times it is little harder to see the icons to edit the maps.* It detects hard wood flooring and carpet areas automatically. It also adjust the suction accordingly. I am able to increase suction using the app as needed.* Alexa integration is great and able to schedule the cleaning time for my rooms.Minus:* Battery time - its only last around 45 mins and returns to base when it hits 20% battery mark. Due to this, it took lot of time to map my floor area.* It looses its way to base sometimes. I would say 2 out of 10 times. I don't have to many obstacles and it always able to workaround, but fails few times.* Mobile app needs more improvements and make it more user friendly.Overall happy with the purchase. it is definitely a good entry level robot vacuum and saves you time with cleaning the floors.
