You Can Die (A Laurel Snow Thriller) Mass Market Paperback – July 25, 2023

I’ve read a lot of Rebecca Zanetti’s books, but I must say this is my favorite yet. All of the characters are great, but especially Laurel Snow, Huck Rivers and Abigail. Each is really unique and you don’t often see characters developed in quite this way. I love the way you get the candid first person thoughts at least for Laurel and Huck and that you see their struggles.Also, this book is really funny, but in a situational way. It’s almost like physical comedy comedy, but it’s the way the scenes are written. Like when Huck slams the county sheriff that no one likes up against the wall and we get vivid picture of him screaming and kicking. Or when Rachel the ambitious reporter comes rushing into the hospital and Walter asks her if he can help her and she says “I got all I need,” and turns around and leaves.There is just the right amount of intrigue at the end to keep us guessing and rooting for Laurel and Huck. I can’t wait for the final book except I don’t want it to end!

This book is another true masterpiece written by Rebecca Zanetti! I just finished listening to the story, and my mind is still reeling and trying to process everything I just listened to. The way Rebecca Zanetti writes just grabs the reader's attention instantly, and the reader becomes fully invested in what is happening. I feel like Rebecca Zanetti is magical with the way she crafts her storyline and weaves various events together to ensure that her readers feel like they are part of the story, I was not able to figure out where the story was going and many times I am able to figure some if not all of the plot line, however with Rebecca Zanetti stories I usually am stumped which is nice!Laurel Snow is such a wonderfully complex character, and I just love her. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching her grow and change throughout this series.Abigail Crane is extremely terrifying!! I have no idea how Laurel will deal with her sister, but I'm definitely afraid, yet eagerly waiting to see what happens. I just hope that Laurel is able to, for lack of better wording, 'take Abigail out' before Abigail can cause even more damage!I can't wait for Laurel and Abigail's 'father' to have his comeuppance! That certainly will be a scary and interesting situation. I have no doubt that Rebecca Zanetti will write something that will amaze all of her fans!And, of course, what can I say about Captain Huck Rivers except yummy! He is also a complex character that I absolutely love and adore! I love the way he interacts with Laurel, and I am looking forward to how things will progress in the next book. I can't say more than that because I will not give away spoilers!in a nutshell, this was a phenomenal story, so well written and plotted out, character development was phenomenal, I think I definitely felt all the feels, and I highly recommend this series and literally everything that Rebecca Zanetti has written!! If this is not your genre, then look at other books written by her because she writes in several genres and truly does an amazing job. Rebecca Zanetti is a very gifted and talented storyteller!I read parts of this book on my Kindle and listened to portions in Audible, and both ways are phenomenal! I even purchased the book in paperback, so whichever way is your reading preference, you won't be disappointed!!

I've really liked this series so far! These types of thrillers are my favorite because they're fairly light but still make you think. You can't figure out who the "bad guy" is, but you stay intrigued. Rebecca does such a good job of keeping the storylines moving without them getting stale. I would definitely read the first two books before this one. It's so worth it to have all the background knowledge of the characters, although you don't necessarily have to. Laurel's character is so likable and has the best dry humor. If you love a bad a** who isn't aware she's such a bad a**, then Laurel is for you. While you want to hate her sister, Abigail, she's just the right amount of crazy to keep you entertained. If you love a strong, protective guy with a soft side, then you'll love Huck. The rest of the supporting characters are wonderful too.In this book, Laurel is putting down roots and building her FBI task force in her hometown. She's tasked with finding another serial killer while uncovering their dark secrets. At the same time, she continues her research on her sister, Abigail, who always seems to be tied into her other investigations. While maybe not as prominent as in the first two books, her sweet romance with Huck grows as she learns to navigate being in a relationship. There are definitely a few surprises along the way that are sure to make book #4 a treat. Another day, another case to solve.

This book was a most excellent read! Surprise twist at the end when the killer was revealed! This is another book that will grab you from the first page and hold on to you until you finish it! I am really enjoying this series.Laurel Snow is back and there’s another serial killer out there killing men by stabbing them multiple times and shoving Valentine’s Day heart candy in their throats and all around them on the ground, all in a purple tent, near a church. Laurel’s team is pretty slim and her office manager is the ex-wife of the first victim. This gets personal for Laurel. And of course she has Huck to help her out and be there for her when she needs him.Another surprise about halfway through the book…this one was a shocker to me! You’re going to want to read this book to find out what that surprise is, but it’s a good one! And of course dear sister Abigail has to be involved in some way, if only Laurel could figure out what she’s doing. And then the man who helped create her shows up, and Laurel really wants to give him what for but he’s pretty cagey. He becomes one of the killer’s targets, only Laurel saves him from death. There are a lot of twists and turns in this book and that makes it one you aren’t going to want to put down.Every one of these books in this series gets better and I have to say this one is my favorite…so far! Intrigue, romance, surprises…what more could you ask for in a romantic suspense book by the incomparable Rebecca Zanetti?!!

If you haven't read this series yet I highly recommend it. Can't wait for the next book that is due out in October 2024.

I love this series, Laurel & Huck make a great pair. The crime fighting unit is superb, what an interesting group of characters make up their respective offices. Add a really nutty half sister, a weird so-called father and you have it all. Cannot wait for book four.

Another great story in this amazing series. I enjoy the quirky characters and the suspense. The sense of reality to the investigation.I always have a conundrum though, when the new books arrive I hold off starting them because it would be over too soon. Then the long wait for the next title starts.

Love the main character. Sheis so logical and tough. The alter ego sister is a fun twist. Thumbs up.

Another great read, can’t wait to see what happens next with and to all the characters in the next instalment
