Also expensive for a mulch and a bit untidy. **Q: Can i use this for outdoor cat house?** A: I found this straw fairly free from barley ables,but the the straw does contain a fair amount of seed, or at least mine did, i used it for my straw berries and it looked as if i had sown for a crop. The straw is soft, but if any ables do remain i would think that perhaps they woul get into the cat hair. I'm not sure on that one as ihave never tried it for pet use.
