The perfect watering can
I use this to refill my fish tanks, and it works wonderfully. The design makes it hard to spill (you really have to overfill for that to happen), and pouring is made easy with a smooth stream. Exactly what I needed.

PERFECT!! Qualities and features you won't understand until you use this.
I review everything I purchase, compare products, reviews before making a purchase. When I opened up the box my first reaction was $20 for this? Just another plastic watering can and seemed a little excessive but I was wrong. First and foremost the handle doesn't cross over the fill opening like so many do including the other can I own, so filling them was a challenge by not getting wet from my rain barrel or having the can shift in the sink and the faucet stream hits the handle spraying water everywhere. The second equally important and impressive feature some might overlook is the balancing of this water can. I can hold the can perfectly level as it fills with water and it doesn't ever pitch forward or backward so when this ends up filled no water is now leaking out the end because the spout is nice and long one reason I chose this because with that long spout I can remove the shower spry adapter and reach into the base of my vegetable plants keeping the foliage from getting wet and vegetable gardeners will appreciate that. The thickness of the plastic is not more than it should be or less than needs to be, because when this fills the body doesn't swell up meaning the plastic is too thin, it holds its shape so it's as good as it needs to be. Even watering I can hold it with one hand and water because it's balanced so perfectly. The adapter on the end you can turn up for a more gentle shower or down for a quicker watering. You can also remove the entire spout for storage which again not common with other cans. I compared this to some watering cans at the store and they all have the handle crossing over the fill opening and that just makes it harder to fill. This one I can easily open the valve on my rain barrel not hitting the handle or my hand. In the end this really is the best watering can I have ever owned and I have had many. I believe they have this same can in a smaller size for those that don't need or can hold 2 gallons of water about 16 lbs.

Perfect for watering
Aside from the fact that it's plastic, it's a great watering 'can.'. I have an aluminum watering can but it rusts if there is any water left in it so I went with this plastic one What I love: its long watering arm, its little shower nozzle that comes off/on easily as needed, and that the filling hole is wide open and not placed under the handle, also has 2 well-placed carrying handles. It's a keeper for me!

Large capacity with an exceptional gentle flow watering can.
I like the green for blending in when I put it away within the plants. It’s fairly easy to fill. It is heavy with two gallons of water in it. It’s very sturdy. . It puts out more water and in a bigger space than I expected, especially with its gentle flow. The head comes off easily for watering plants that need. I’d give it a five except I’ve used a one with a larger head that I prefer.

It us sturdy and the handles are comfortable.
The watering can surpassed my expectations. It is sturdy, the two handles are comfortable, and a slender shape to valance the 2 gallons of water. The spout is long and aims down. Works great. The price was definitely a buying point. I may just order a couple more of these for gardening friends!

Very Functional, But Not Perfect
Very Functional, But Not Perfect - attachment are loose What Works Really Well 1. Good Capacity The 2-gallon size is a sweet spot — big enough that you don’t have to refill constantly, but not so heavy that it’s unwieldy when full. This makes it ideal for both garden beds and larger planters. 2. Easy to Fill Many 2-gallon watering cans (like the Root & Vessel version) have a wide opening, which makes filling from a hose or sink really easy. 3. Controlled Pouring Depending on the model, the spout often comes with a detachable or removable nozzle, so you can choose between a gentle shower (great for delicate plants) or a stronger stream (for deep watering). 4. Durability — Plastic options: Many 2-gallon cans are made from thick, UV-resistant plastic, which helps them resist cracking and weather damage. — Metal options: If you go with a metal can, such as galvanized, it’s very sturdy and long-lasting. For example, the GroundWork 2‑Gallon Metal Watering Can is built to hold up over time and has a removable nozzle for flexibility. 5. Ergonomics Some cans are designed with two handles (a top and a rear handle), which helps you carry and pour roughly when it’s heavy. 6. Built-in Measurement A few cans (such as the Root & Vessel line) include measurement markings, so you can more accurately water based on how much liquid you’re using. ⸻ Drawbacks / Things to Watch Out For • Weight When Full: Even though 2 gallons isn’t huge, that water adds up. It can be heavy, especially for users who aren’t super strong or have wrist/arm concerns. • Plastic Degradation: With cheaper plastic watering cans, long-term exposure to sun or rough use could lead to brittleness or cracks. • Nozzle Clogs: If the sprayer head is removable, debris can sometimes clog it, especially with hard water or garden dirt. • Standing Water Risks: It’s important not to leave water sitting in the can for long periods — stagnant water can breed algae or mosquito larvae. • Metal Rust: If it’s a metal can, make sure to dry it off after use. Otherwise, rusting could become a problem over time. ⸻ Comparison to Specific Models • Bloem 2‑Gallon Resin Watering Can: Lightweight and super practical, with a detachable sprinkler nozzle — good for both precision and coverage. • Expert Gardener 2‑Gallon Plastic Watering Can: Very affordable, basic but effective design for everyday gardening. • GroundWork 2‑Gallon Metal Watering Can: More durable and stylish, with a classic look — ideal if you want something that lasts and doesn’t feel “cheap.” ⸻ Bottom Line If you have a mix of indoor and outdoor plants, or a garden bed that needs regular watering, a 2-gallon watering can is a versatile and efficient choice. Just make sure to choose a quality material (plastic or metal) that suits your use, and remember to empty it after watering to avoid standing water issues.
