A TRUSTED FAVORITE Preferred by both home chefs and culinary professionals, the 3-Piece Victorinox Fibrox Chef's Knife Set can handle nearly every kitchen task imaginable. Crafted with comfortable handles, superior weight and balance, and razor sharp edges that rarely require re-sharpening, these knives are essential tools for every kitchen. KEY FEATURES High-quality, lightweight European steel. Handle design reduces hand and wrist fatigue. Fit for dicing, mincing, chopping, slicing, and shredding. Long, sloping curved blade that “rocks” for effortless mincing and chopping. Flat spine for extra power to slice through hard-skinned items. Textured handle for a secure and comfortable grip no matter the hand size. National Sanitary Foundation (NSF) approved and dishwasher safe. CARE AND USE Be good to your knives and they’ll be good to you. Following these simple guidelines will ensure that you get the longest life out of your knife! CLEANING Victorinox Swiss Army recommends washing all knives by hand. For best results, hand wash your knives with a soapy cloth and dry immediately. While Fibrox knives are dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing as dishwashers are designed to spray water at a relatively high pressure, which can jostle the silverware and cause the knives to collide, dulling the edge. SHARPENING For optimum performance, knives should be honed after every couple of uses. Proper and frequent use of a honing steel will keep your knives sharper and performing at their best. FORMERLY FORSCHNER In 1937 Victorinox began selling cutlery in America through a Connecticut distributor called R.H. Forschner & Co. A well-known manufacturer of butcher scales, Forschner soon became the exclusive U.S. distributor for Victorinox knives, and was the name by which Victorinox knives were known.

Fantastic
This is a great set of great knives. Fibrox is the all-around best stainless kitchen knife. Excellent handles, comfortable and non-slip - good enough to use in a pinch during a zombie fight. These make a great gift for people with bad knives. They are practically made for the countertop sharpeners that fanboys love to hate on. They hold an edge very well and respond well to a soft honing steel. Don't listen to fanboys and your chef friends: stainless can make a decent blade. You don't need high carbon Japanese or expensive German blades, as these Fibrox blades will be your go-to. They sharpen quickly and hold edges well. Great gift items. Oh, the bread knife is simply superior to any I have ever used.

It won't give you the wow factor of a 62 layer damascus Japanese blade from a looks stand point but they don't require the maintenance either. They are true workhorses and are razor sharp out of the box.

Awesome buy!
These knives are the Bees knees. So freaking sharp! Hardly any pressure needed to cut up a sweet potato. And the fibrox handles are super grippy and don't slip even when cutting up juicy stuff!

Sharp, solid, light weight, ergonomic
About the chef's knife: I've bought this knife a few months ago for my kitchen on Amazon. I'm a chef and allow any of the 5 other cooks to use it. It has definitely become the most popular knife in the kitchen. It's light weight, sharpens easily, durable, fits nicely into the hand and, most importantly, it does the job. Not a dent, not a scratch on the knife at this point. The bread knife is just as good. The vegetable knife is strong, yet flexible, and of an excellent make. I recommend them all.

Not impressed
I’m not really impressed with the chef knife. Not that sharp the other two are but find the bread knife a bit long and the small knife has a even cheaper thinner handle than the others

Not as sharp as I thought they would be.
My knife doesn't seem to hold an edge. Maybe I'm not sharpening them correctly.
