Prejudice Against This Series Overcome!
I hadn't watched this on TV as I could never get past the Theme Song (why oh why could they have not used the Theme used 'In A Mirror Darkly') and whilst I liked Sam Beckett, I hated NCIS New Orleans (loved NCIS/LA) and just couldn't see Bakula as a Star Trek character.Being able to skip the opening theme cured the first hang-up whilst gritting my teeth and letting Bakula grow on me more than solved the 2nd. In fact, after Picard, he is now my favourite Captain!Yes, Season 1 and 2 seemed a little slow, but nothing really dreadful - remember, there were quite a few howlers in TOS, not to mention the dreadful (except for W.o.Khan) TOS films!Season 4 was excellent. Typical to cancel it as it really got going. The use of story arcs was good and there is a fair amount of 2 (and 3) part episodes which I recommend viewing in one go as a movie. Filling in Star Trek history and linking to other ST series is always satisfying and ST Enterprise does this well. Season 4 did seem to go all in with movie-like soundtrack which, however, felt overpowering and smothered some dialogue on to many occasions. There are 97 episodes. Yes, 97. The 98th is really a 'deleted' scene from STNG Season 7 Episode 12 'Pegasus'!Unlike most reviewers, I find the storage system dreadful (like the Voyager and STNG box sets). The lack of a play all function is also a major irritation. The lack of non-English subtitles was also a shame.

Definitive DVD collection of this star trek series
There isn't much to say about such a ubiquitous DVD release except that the boxing is pretty solid, easy to use and seems unlikely to break if your all thumbs like me. The video quality is as good as you'd expect from a DVD and there is a spattering (albeit not too generous) of extra features, deleted scenes and commentaries if you like that sort of thing. For the few episodes I've watched so far .. it seems worth the effort of engaging with the bonus material .. if you're a fan that is. if your not a fan .. you probably could have found better use of your time than reading this. The only drawback vs. netflix for me was the ommission of the skip into button. Other than that a must have for any fans of the show - personally this is my favorite star trek. It captures the wonder and joy of space travel in the star trek universe .. and although it leaves a lot of obviously enjoyably themes poorly fleshed out I mainly put this down to it's tragically early cancellation.

Nicely stacked dvds, one each side of the plastic holders
Two episodes of the first set do not play. Dear Doctor and Vox Sola. Dear Doctor stops at 36:32 minutes and Vox Sola stops at 3:16 minutes. Haven't managed the rest yet but will update if any other issues. On the whole, for disk storage, it is the best of them all.update: Episode E2 at 14:38 mins audio is lost for a second or two when Trip asks a question. Audio then resumes. it is the same in the Deleted Scene too.

Star Trek - Enterprise: A hugely enjoyable and much under-rated series
Missed it in 2001-5 as there were too many Star Trek spin off's circulating but actually 'Enterprise', as seen for the first time in 2018 has turned out to be under-rated and surprisingly good viewing IMHO. Lots of reviewers say that Series 1 & 2 were a little too slow and ponderous and I do have to agree, but Series 3 & 4 more than makes up for it. I'm not getting into a list of favorites here, but suffice it to say there are plenty of good quality episodes and multiple story arc's spread throughout this box set to satisfy even the most jaundiced of viewers. The acting is consistently good throughout. There are plenty of 'extras' to view too. Discs are split into 2 plastic boxes (series 1&2) (series 3&4) both housed in a stout cardboard box. The plastic containers themselves feel a little flimsy & lightweight, but the ingenious disc storage method works very well to allow safe, swift removal and retrieval of the discs. Featured subtitles are English, English SDH on both main feature & 'extras'. Many hours of enjoyable entertainment to be had here. Recommended.

Rubbish Packaging
See photo. There were 4 discs stacked on top of each other (on the stalks) with no separation. The discs can easily scratch each other in transit. The same can be said for the rest of the packaging. Some of the discs had come loose and were rattling around in the box. Not due due to Amazon. Would blame manufacturing cheapness. Our TNG blue ray box set is excellently packaged and all discs separated without touching any of the others. Lesson for the people who produce/choose packaging.

best one yet
Although a lot of fans criticize this show it is definitely the best. Stories that aren't just about relationships with a weekly anomoly flung in as a sub plot like voyager, first gen etc. A not perfect crew facing and overcoming adversity while bonding. Not invincible US forces similie where the inferior enemy is defeated by the superior Enterprise. Much better than that. Still really expensive as all the Star Trek franchise stuff is but more effort pu in to making it a good show means the price doesn't hurt so much. More than a TV drama with nice uniforms and shallow one dimensional 'new generation, deep space nine, voyager' characters. A bit more substance here. No Babylon5 or Firefly but not bad and closer than any other Roddenberry cash cow.

A magnificent ST series!
Star Trek: Enterprise is a magnificent prequel series to the Star Trek franchise! Set about a century before Kirk’s time, it captures the history of the time before the formation of the United Federation of Planets, and the “new” starship technology of the prototype NX-01 Enterprise, a warp 5 vessel. It highlights the diplomatic tensions between Earth’s Starfleet and the Vulcans. The crew of this prototype Enterprise is absolutely outstanding, each in his/her role! The stories are very well-written, very entertaining, some are simply brilliant, and all true to the traditional Star Trek themes. This DVD box collection, along with the other Star Trek collections in the same format, is appealing and quite compact, and its visual quality is pretty good. All Star Trek series are part of the franchise canon. Enterprise most certainly holds up amazingly well to be up there with the rest of the series!
