This will fit makita saw with some slight adjustment
Just thought I'd let anyone know who might be interested in saving a few pounds that I got this to fit a Makita dhs660.. by simply flattening the metal rod slightly to get the correct height.. Then securing the rod the to the guide with a Allen bolt (instead of the supllied thumb screw) so I don't accidentally adjust it again.. This can be removed and inserted without having to adjust to fit thanks to the slightly raised pin on the other end 👌. Hope this helps.

Don’t waste your cash..... or wood!
I bought this adapter thinking it could save me the hassle (and money) over buying a larger circular/plunge saw compatible with my makita guides. The result? As you can see from the photo, pretty bad. I’ve tried this using both 6mm and 18mm MDF (I was cutting standard 2.4 x 1.2 sheets). This photo is the thicker MDF. Ive found that despite the locking nuts cranked as tight as they can, the jigsaw still walks away from the guide and does not cut straight. Even using multiple benches, stands and additional clamps (to try and make the guide rails as secure as possible) hasn’t really helped.Based on my experience alone, I would recommend not wasting your money on this product. Either stump up the extra and buy a proper saw for the job, or admit defeat and get the DIY store to pre-cut for you.Feeling slightly ripped off.

Poor fit, needs modifying to be usable.
As it's supplied this jigsaw attachment suffers with wobble, both on the guide rail and at the back end of the jigsaw. The problem is the jigsaw is forced to sit away from the guide rail because of the mounting screw hole placement and the bend in the bracket. The single attachment point to the jigsaw is also simply insufficient. The plastic groove that sits around the guide rail slider is too slack and doesn't have adjustment screws to tighten it, unlike it's router and circular saw siblings. There is a solution, albeit a hack. That is to attach a door handle square spindle to the side of the jigsaw foot with double sided tape. That pushes the jigsaw far enough away from the guide rail so the attachment bracket clears the rail, and once it's all tightened up the jigsaw sits parallel to the rail with no slack or slop and gives a lovely straight cut. My photo shows the final result. Now I just need to figure out a way to permanently secure this solution so it's all fixed to the attachment. Lol.Hopefully this will help others who've experienced the same issue. In the meantime Makita really need to redesign this.
