My only con is that in general, all these spray guns seem to focus on how pretty they are and have a slippery finish, the handles should have a textured surface, it's like that Glock pistol you own, you don't want it slipping around in your hand so you have complete control. I bought it for automotive clear coat work, and it exceeded my expectations. After looking up reviews on Google for the best budget-friendly spray gun, I came across this one. At first, I was hesitant to give it much thought despite the seemingly good reviews as I figured it was just another cheap gun. But, after some internal debating and a Prime Day sale back in July, I pulled the trigger (pun intended). I am really glad I did because as of today, this gun has been amazing for what it is. I am in no way a professional. If anything, I am learning as I go, with access to a long-time friend / professional in the business. To date, I have laid down self-etching primer and two different color single-stage urethane paints on my project truck. Despite my lack of skill, the gun has done a great job laying down what I've put through it. I have to say I really like this gun and the various air cap sets that came with it. It's very easy to disassemble for cleaning post-spray, the tool it came with is awesome, and it came with the adapter for the disposable cup system. The one caveat to my positive review is the pressure regulator that came with it... It is useless for anything under 25 psi. Most things I lay down with a much higher pressure, but believe it or not, the primer I've been using recommends 7-10 psi (but I still target 15-20), and the provided regulator just isn't up to the task. Fortunately, I have a pretty solid regulator from my old HF gun (I forget the brand of the regulator, but it is NOT a HF cheapy cheap). All-in-all, this gun is pretty stout and does a pretty solid job for the price point. I am actually considering getting another on that I can dedicate to just clear coat.
