Need a kiln
Received 1 bag . You cannot fire this with a torch , you must have a kiln . It was easily worked and shaped , but when torched it crumbles after it appears to be done. A torch will not provide enough heat for long enough . I couldnโt find this information before ordering โฆ itโs provided in the info on how to use in the packaged product. Good product , I just donโt have a kiln .

Easy to use. Tougher than expected before firing.
Being new to metal clay, I was really happy with the workability of the product. Iโve made several pieces and the only problem Iโve had was breaking one of them after the first phase fire. I now refrain from handling at all and just pour more carbon on top. I have been surprised at the slight flexibility of the dried clay before firing, and was able to press slightly warped pieces until flat. Carves and sands nicely too. And of course it looks great when finished.

Defective
No one in my jewelry studio was able to get this to work despite following directions exactly. It would form a metal crust, and the core would be very crumbly clay. You could always snap your creations in half with just your fingers.

Not for beginners
It took me several tries to fire it correctly with my analog kiln and getting coconut carbon stuck in the pieces. The clay air dries fast so you need to be already skillful with other clay to work fast even if you add water. After several mistakes and trials I did manage to get good results. But takes patience and practice. Silver clay is easier to work with but a lot more expensive. Iโm happy with the results in general.
