I love that the fibers are all natural since it's going to be around my food and the relaxed elegance of the tiny wrinkles. It's perfect and exactly what I was looking for. It's also thin, lightweight, and a superior fabric to cotton in performance.*How I Washed It*The tag advises not to wash in water over 40C or 104F. I know that the warm setting on my LG frontload washing machine doesn't exceed this temperature because I've stopped the cycle and measured the water temperature. So I washed the tablecloth on warm in a normal cycle using Tide UltraOxi. It came out perfectly. (Note: Your warm setting may exceed this depending on your water heater setting. My water heater is set to 130F)I then dried the tablecloth but only on the air dry mode - no heat. Linen will shrink a good amount if you use heat in the washing or the drying. It's not a problem though because linen dries very fast. After about 30 minutes in the dryer on air drying mode the table cloth was pretty much dry.*Linen Will Wrinkle and Lint...A LOT*It's not a deal breaker, but you will either have a rustic, tastefully wrinkled tablecloth, or you'll have to iron the tablecloth every time you wash it. That's just how anything made out of linen behaves. It will also shed a lot of lint, especially the first few washes.
