Bought this bag of dried sprats for our pooches and wow, have they gone down a treat! Obviously it's a 1kg bag but I didn't give a thought to how many would be in it! My only negative is it would be good if they came in an airtight container as they are a bit 'pongy'. Excellent value for money and would definitely buy again.

This is the 2nd order of these that I have had delivered. The first order was of excellent quality. Decent sized, full fish that were thoroughly dry and just as I expected to receive.Unfortunately this 2nd bag is really poor quality. This pack came vacuum packed and was immediately evident to be different to my first order. The difference was so obvious that I actually went back through my orders thinking that I had ordered from a different supplier. As you can see in the photographs, and supported by other reviews, this package came as a solid lump of tiny fish.Immediately upon opening the pack, the fish smell really strange, not a fishy smell that would be expected, but something quite sour, like and unpleasant citrus. The fish are what can only be described as a solid block of incredibly sticky fish that appear to have been completely pulverised. There is lots of sticky, brown 'dust' throughout the contents and it is proving to be almost impossible to separate any fish from the block, certainly you cannot remove whole fish.The dogs are still eating them (im cutting smaller blocks off), but I'm not at all convinced that the block won't go mouldy now it has been opened.I did notice that this package was labelled as a product of Vietnam, unfortunately I don't recall where the others were from.If this is the stock that Maltbys are now supplying to their customers, I'm afraid I won't be buying them again, which is a shame as I get a number of things from them.

The dogs loved these. I take treats on our walks and dogs know ...these went down a bomb!The only concern is there wasn't enough info on storage or best before dates. I had to scout the net for answers. I kept these in an airtight tin in the fridge. No smell from them. I don't know if that was the right way but it worked for us.Quality fish no little bits. All full.Although I made sure I picked them up by the tail ...can't do eyes..😖Good price for the amount you receive.Will definitely buy again.

These are larger sprats than those supplied by many other pet food sellers. My dog loves them! There are also less crumbs in the bag which mean more treats for my dog.Overall I have found this seller to provide a very high class of dried dog treats at a very reasonable price. I now don’t go anywhere else.If you are feeding a raw diet and want some treats for training or to give your dog a snack then look no further than this seller, you won’t be disappointed.(I am not linked in any way to this seller nor have I been paid or offered any inducement to make this review. My dogs love these and have been buying from different sellers over the last 2 years.I’ve bought from this seller previously and have noticed that the fish are tiny and rarely whole.It’s more like bits of fish with a lot of brown fish ‘dust’ within the bag.Packaging is good, I just don’t think they are the best quality as the fish I’ve had from other sellers are a bit plumper, more meaty.These are so dry they are brittle, which is why they break up into tiny pieces.The dogs love them tho, but I do worry about the nutritional value of these compared the the more expensive ‘fatter’ fish I’ve bought before.

Have bought dried sprats many times from different places, they were always loose and 'crispy'. When I received these they were vacuum packed, when opened they're all stuck together in a big lump, was a little concerned but once they had been out of the packet a while in my treat tin they were easy to break apart and are actually better than the dried ones in my opinion, slightly moist and chewy (I didn't try them myself!) A lot of them are larger than the previous dried ones I've bought, they are quite smelly but then they are fish! my 3 GSDs are loving them, would buy again. Thanks :-)

My dogs adores it. It is salt free but has the good fish oils (hence you can smell it, but though the smell can be noticeable it's not that strong). Excellent value for a 1kg bag that lasts me about 6 months with my 22 kg very active gun dog. I mainly use this as the highest value treat/reward and tend to break the little fishes in half so they last twice as long (my dog doesn't seem to notice I give him half rather than a full fish anyway). I will definitely reorder more. Perfect healthy snack for my gorgeous pooch and it won't make me bankrupt.
