We do quite a few long haul flights for our holidays, and grew tired of the headphones given out by cabin crew; they're uncomfortable and you cannot hear the move/music over the general cabin noise.I wanted a way I can use my Apple AirPods Max to use on a flight. Step forward the Twelve South TS-2259. What an amazing little gadget!It works a treat, pairing is simple (best to test it at home before boarding the plane). You'll need to buy an adaptor that fits the dual 3.5mm plug on the plane, but that's it.I charged the device ahead of a recent 17 hour flight to Japan and it lasted for the whole journey.When researching these gadgets, I noticed people saying there was a lag between seeing people speak on the screen and hearing the sound. If this gadget has a lag, I didn't notice.I really can't praise it enough, it's small, holds a charge, is simple to use and even comes with it's own little carry case.One of the best things I have bought for a flight; allowing me to use my headphone's noise cancelling feature for 17 hours is the best ever!

Worked perfectly on TUI Dreamliner 787 I think it was, from Manchester to Orlando. Used it with Bluetooth KS kitsound overhead headphones. No time delay on the sound that I noticed. Will be keeping it to use on my next flight next year and may even buy one for hubby! Defo a good little gadget to have! Comes boxed and includes carry pouch, charging cable and instructions not that I needed them as it was simple enough to work out without.. Overall happy costumer!

These are fantastic and make a long haul flights onboard media unbelievably better. Using AirPod max’s the audio was clear and excellent quality and with noise isolation you barely knew you were on a plane.Only marked down due to the price which is steep given so many cheaper alternatives available, however the battery life and charge times need to be considered plus these do Bluetooth transmit and receive so they can also be used in cars/for speakers without BT compatibility.

Brilliant device great for cars without usb ports and also great for the PlayStation portal worth the extra money battery life is great and easy to connect to. Brilliant quality for sound either through headphones or via aux in a car.

This product packed up after only a few uses, but two years after I had bought it. I used it on long haul flights, which I don't do that often. When it packed up, it was out of warranty. Neither Amazon nor Twelve South would consider a replacement. My advice is: keep all the packing and maybe you'll get Amazon to take it back. Unfortunately I didn't. So be warned!Subsequently Amazon called me, they had clearly been aware of my complaint and its internal escalation. They offered not just a full but an enhanced credit. So it's 1 star for the product, 5 stars for Amazon customer service

The device is compact and lightweight and holds its charge well. The only problem is that it just does t really deliver when it comes to watching in-flight movies while travelling.I have tried this with Apple AirPod Pro and Bose QC Ultra and the delay in audio sync is noticeable. It’s not completely unwatchable but it’s enough to spoil the movie or show.For those reasons I can’t rate it any higher than a 3star.Great little device but does not work as expected.
