Great lens, good price,
The lens is good, clear and takes good photos, first one came in product package in cardboard with no packing, arrived damaged, returned, second one came in product carton in plastic shipping envelope, but somehow arrived undamaged.

Giving this 5 stars
I gave this 5 tars despite my not keeping it. The reason I returned it was that it does not have autofocus. I put it onto my Canon camera and did not see that it wasn't AF until I got it. Looked to be a decent value lens though.

I could not have asked for better results in a manual lens of this focal length for the price
My client desperately needed portraits/head-shots wanting to make an attempted to get back into Hollywood. He paid for half the lens and I was not disappointed. It's not as accurate with the stops though. Like the subtle click and where it says F4 is not really on. But you can follow your experience and instincts to know. It's a manual lens. People do not order this unless they want it. Not cause it'sSome sample screenshots. Hiding the face guys sorry. Super sharp where it needs to be when you want it to be. It's good glass. reminds me a bit of the old Mamiya 6.7 lenses on a medium format camera in terms of it's DOF background.

It works great even though my camera doesn’t recognize it. Auto-focus doesn’t work.
It works great, but my camera doesn’t recognize it, so I have to focus it manually. It takes great pictures. It is as advertised, excellent condition. I love it!

Great pics with some chromatic aberration. However QC is poor
Great pics with some chromatic aberration. However QC is poor. I like the lens and the astro pics I have taken but there is ring that clicks into the aperture adjustment (F stop) and it rotates as you change F stop, which is no big deal, but the ring keeps coming off and you have to snap it in. The aperture adjustment ring also slips off. This is obviously not normal. I have read about QC issues and I guess this is one of them. Sadly, I will have to return as this would be a dirt/dust magnet.

Oh my grinding focus ring!
This could have been a good lens. It’s a completely manual lens, but the images I have taken with it were focused with little aberration as far as I can tell. Unlike some other reviewers, my focus ring stops right on infinity, but the grinding is horrible. For about a third of the travel of the focus ring it feels like someone threw beach sand into the mechanism. It’s mot a consistent grinding either, as you focus towards infinity it starts grinding, lightens to a slighter grind, then becomes much more pronounced again. I’m not hoping for much longevity out of this lens. Alibaba is stamped right in the URL on the box, for what that may be worth. Don’t expect a high quality, smooth as silk lens here. But if you need something in a situation where the equipment might get trashed and you need a potential throw away, this might be the ticket.

Great for beginners
Ordered this for my daughter for her to take pictures in an older model camera I have; she was able to attach/detach without an issue and quickly acclimated to using.
