I wanted to hold off a bit on a review until I could better see how things would work. In terms of pricing, for what you get - it's the best bang for the buck I've found. My ONLY complaint is that there is a lack of bridge mode OOTB in GoldenOrb ROOter. That's not a fault of Taktikal, but just of the OS. The OS is awesome for so many other things.So, the pros!:* It's got great guts. Immediately receiving, I cracked open the case. 4 simple screws. Why did I open it? The last two gateways I bought on Amazon through other manufacturers lied about the modem they supplied. The guts are pretty simplistic, which is great. There's some room to where I could add in a cooling fan/heatsinks if I wanted to, and it's not jammed together to where I could. Everything is just the parts thrown together. The WiFI card in it is actually pretty decent, though I don't use it.* The RM520N-GL is probably the most used out there right now. And there's no sign of problems with it seemingly. The external RF ports just simply connect to the ports on the modem. Nothing more to it - I like that.* GoldenOrb is NOT locked down by Taktikal. You can install other packages to your hearts content. Things like the kernel are a little locked by just the firmware release of GO.* Support has been GREAT. Honestly, I'm dealing with some weird carrier issues, which as far as i'm concerned should NOT be their issue. But they are still really willing to go the mile to offer recommendations and troubleshoot together with me. I have networking knowledge, not a guru, but modems are a whole different animal. And the primary person I've been working with, Ralph, has been great. So far upload is 120Mbps, and still working on getting above 200Mbps on DL.

This build quality of this router is outstanding. I had no issues cloning the IMIE number and connecting to Verizon. The process to keep the firmware updated needs improvement. It is essentially at your own risk, so I never upgraded.My router just died after 9 months of solid service. I have contacted support via Amazon for warranty support. A router like this should give years of service without issues. Hopefully, their support is as good as the hardware build.

Good:Speed (cellular to lan). This router does what it says. Standard 4g sim in USA was pulling 400 / 150 mbps in a crowded city center. Awesome!Form factor. It's nice and slim. Easy to mount and carry for travel. Breaks down nicely. Easy to get into the metal case for upgrades and repairs.Preconfigured. There were a lot of options for 5g cellular. It made connection easier. International networks took some guesswork but ultimately they all had options in the pre-configs.Customizable bands and band locking. Has all bands worldwide in 4/5g range. Worked in NA and SEA perfectly.Bad:Quality control. There were fingerprints on the router board leftover from assembly. One of the antenna jacks was loose. Easy to fix but out of the box it should be firm.

What this router does well:Allows for two connections.what it needs improvement on:everything else.Failover set up does NOT match the handbook that comes with the device. The device itself blocked API calls coming from behind the firewall without any indication as of why, or that anything was blocked. Logs are non existent for trying to troubleshoot the device/connections. I cannot see traffic coming in or out of the router/modem.The device brought down my throughput from 800 mpbs (Orbi Pro Routers) to ~600 mbps.Tech support alerted me that a bad patch was pushed through stopping the ability to receive data. This is crippling for a business.Amazon allowed the return of the item, I have moved back to the Netgear LTE modem/routers.

I recently purchased this router, and I have to say, I am very satisfied with its performance and its value, especially compared to other 5G routers which cost way more.Firstly, the setup process was incredibly simple and straightforward. Within minutes, I had the router up and running, and I was able to connect all my devices without any issues.The connection is super-fast and stable, even when multiple devices are connected at the same time. I can stream 4K videos, play online games, and download files without any buffering or lag. This is truly impressive!Another great feature of this router is that it has the Rooter GoldenOrb firmware preinstalled. The interface is easy to navigate, and I can customize it to suit my needs. I can easily adjust the settings to optimize my network performance, prioritize specific devices, and even set up a VPN for enhanced security.The build quality of this router is solid and well-constructed, and the case is made out of metal instead of the cheap plastic like most other routers I have used in the pastOverall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. It has exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier.

I bought this router about 2 months ago and I couldn't be happier. The installation was easy to follow with the instructions provided. I had 2 additional questions and the customer service team was able to answer all my questions and even provided me with tips and advice on how to set up and protect my router. Overall, these guys were great.The router so far is incredibly fast and reliable with great range coverage. This has made a significant difference in the quality of my internet. I would highly recommend this Taktikal router.

Tech support was great in the beginning but after numerous problems they just quit responding. I wish I purchased from Amazon so I could return but I am not getting a response from them so I over paid for something that is useless to me. You have been warned.
