Excellent camera for the price
Quality, fitment and software all very good and easy to use. Playback quality is excellent.Downsides areNo remote viewing capabilities or deletion of files. Have to remove memory card and review on PC.GPS, Power and Rear camera all connect into the main camera each with its own cable. So top of screen ends up with front camera, GPS and 3 cables. However GPS built-in, condensed cabling and Bluetooth all come at a premium in much more expensive cameras.

Good
Order the hard wire kit as well, very easy to fit and auto turns on and off when you get in the car. Good app easy to download videos and pictures. Good price and worth it so far

Poor image quality
I had originally provided am honest review but was rejected. So I'll be blunt this time. The video quality doesn't appear to be 1080p. I've seen better VGA quality. It struggles to pick up car reg plates. The night footage is completely useless. It is unable to show anything further than 10m in front of the car on full beams. The software doesn't appear to be compatible and doesn't allow viewing of footage through the official software. The build quality is fine.I would exchange it if I hadn't paid for it to be professionally installed.I would not recommend this product and suggest reluctantly spending more for better quality.

great camera for the price
easy to assemble great picture compared to others i have tried. would advise to gps add on. the only downside is the hard wire you have to do to get record parked recording, but you don't have to this option as continues recording works.

Great price, but better quality in the market nowadays, look elsewhere.
Changed the family car and our new car had been prewired (previous owner) for a front and rear dash cam system. The only indication of what camera was used was matching the front windscreen mount. After loads of looking we matched to this unit and bought based on nothing other than ease of installation. Its an old basic model but hopefully will do its job. Installation was a doodle obviously.... plug n play. All wiring was present and worked. The kit provided the external GPS module which we also fitted.Overall the complete kit was at a good price but camera focus and setup was a pain. Downloading footage is also a pain..... remember this is old tech now compared to the much better units also available from Thinkware. It will do my job, its functional, its a deterrant to driveoff damage and gives an impartial view of any incident so may save its purchase price many times over.

Not bad for a budget dashcam set.
In the past I've always bought really expensive dashcams from Thinkware or Blackvue. But when I sell my car they go with it. So, this time around I opted for the base model. It works OK. You have to remove the Micro SD car to view, but not a big deal. The accompanying GPS antenna is irritating on local trips as it keeps alerting you. If I could find a way to turn it off or lower the volume it would be great. All in all though, a good piece of kit for the price.

Easy to fit
Easy to fit (just get some piggyback fuses, mini cable ties and trim tools) everything else you need is in the box.It is easy to fit, just plan your cable routes properly so you don't need to use any tape or cable fixing clips. One recommendation is not to properly fix the cameras until you've checked the field of vision - otherwise it'll be a case of using acetone to get the sticky stuff off before repositioning (yep I made that mistake)!Battery drain isn't an issue, but newer BMWs will throw a battery drain warning which is a common occurrence
