So simple and effective.Don't even need to buy the EZ lok tool just use a large flat head or a clip puller.Saved me 800 dollars.

I bought these to repair stripped threads for carburetor studs in an aluminum intake manifold. I have a very expensive aluminum intake for a pulling truck that someone had stripped the mounting holes for the carburetor. It only took 20 minutes to install all four of them . They are very strong and work better than Heli-coils. We even used a carburetor flanged lifting plate to remove the 850 lb. engine from the truck with absolutely no problems. They are stronger than the original threads and will definitely last longer.

Great for mounting bolt-on guitar and bass necks. Just drill the pilot hole and tap the wood to the outer thread size, soak the threads with thin superglue for extra reinforcement and when dry, install the insert. I brushed off the pink thread lock material intended for use with metal and used epoxy to lock them in place. Much cleaner installation than trying to drive in the inserts with knife threads. Recommend them especially for use with roasted maple because it's more brittle and will split easier if you try to force in the knife thread inserts. They're on the pricey side, but worth it in the long run.
