My fruits haven’t been touched since I used these. The rodents hate metal on teeth. I’m getting tree ripened persimmons for the first time ever. So happy!

This is great root protection. If you have voles this product is your solution. You dig a hole the size you need, insert the mesh basket with opening edge rolled down a little bit, refill with soil. Transplant or sow seeds and that's it. As you water and the soil settles in a bit, roll up the rolled edge of basket to keep edge above soil level. These are more like steel mesh sacks than "baskets", but they work no matter what you call them. With an unexpected benefit! The voles can not get to the roots of your plant to do damage. When all the plants in your garden are protected, there is no longer any reason for the voles to keep trying and they move out to source food elsewhere. Celebrate!The only thing I wasn't crazy about is that you must be careful with the opening edge of basket. It is steel wire thin mesh and so you can get pricked with the steel wire. But this is not a deal braker by any means. These work and I am planning on buying more of the large size. Happy Gardening!

We thankfully were warned by neighbors that there is a gopher issue in the area. I have bought several of this variety pack and so far (three months in) we haven’t lost any of our landscaping due to gophers! These were easy to plant and I ended up cutting a few of the ginormo size as we didn’t need as many of those. Should a gopher get in, I’ll update!

The small ones work great but the large ones have an opening that can allow the gophers to dive into the plant from the outside, so be sure to close up the opening of any of the baskets that are open to the dirt.

So far so good. I’ve planted all my vegetable plants in these and the voles haven’t been able to damage any of my plants. The vole tracks are all around my garden but zero damage! It’s been about 45 days now so I’m calling it a success.

The one gallon size bags are too short to protect plants from one gallon pots.

Satisfied.

These are not baskets. They are like little flimsy "bags" not at all what I was expecting.
