I only found out they were the same when I needed to do a hard reset after a major update. Having Arthritis, I have found this to be one of the lightest 10.1 tablet available. Very nippy over my old Huawei M1 it replaced. Don't be put off by the Alcatel brand. Apart from a program which was draining the battery (Now sorted), It has been a very reliable and easy to use tablet. It is beginning to creak and flex a bit now but has been heavily used in the 3 years I have owned it. Thankfully I have managed to find another old stock one for £40 so hoping I will get as much use and value from this one. I originally bought the 1st one as a 28 day return from a Vodafone clearance online for £75. Really worth seeking out. Look out for the Vodafone branded Tab Prime 7 VPD 1400 as I don't think the Alcatel branded one was sold in the UK.
