I bought the IKAPE Espresso Tamper Holder, Wooden Coffee Tamper Station Base to go with my new ECM Synchronika espresso machine. The IKAPE Espresso Tamper Holder, Wooden Coffee Tamper Station Base is very elegantly comprised of walnut, with slots for espresso portafilter screens, a tamping dock, space for cleaning brushes, levelers and a tamper. The IKAPE Espresso Tamper Holder, Wooden Coffee Tamper Station Base looks pricey and impressive on my counter. It was reasonably priced and well made.

So I brought this into the office along with my accessories as I'm now here on a regular basis. Though there's already a knock box here, I wanted to have a better way to organize and keep all of my accessories together as well as have a better surface for puck prep than a granite countertop. I was impressed with how heavy and sturdy it is as was frankly expecting it to be lighter. The knock box is actually quite nice in that the rubber base is on the end which I much prefer to the traditional crossbar. There's also 2 little handles that slide up to pull it out the knock box to empty it without actually getting in the way of anything. There's a little rubber end on the threaded portafilter leveler that I brought to the height of its adjustment but it ends up working nicely. Have to take everything out and empty everything occasionally but it's part of the weekly cleaning routine for everything so really not a big deal. Obviously their tamper and distributor fit perfectly but so did my 3d printed WDT tool (upside down), puck screen (with room for a second one), and portafilter. And while there's no seperate space for a funnel, I put it on top of the portafilter when I'm not using it, or just flat on the same spot otherwise.Never thought I'd like using one but here it ended up being very convenient to keep everything nice and organized and accessible. The fact that it looks great is a nice bonus.

This makes my espresso making much easier and organizes my tools. It is perfect for my 51mm porta filter, really enjoy it

Only complaint I have is this is a little expensive for what it is - but overall, this is one very nice, very well made knock box/storage unit. Solid wood, nicely & evenly stained, black inserts are a real nice contrast. Knock box is metal & thoughtfully made - it has handles that sit inside & even with the top of the box. When you grab them to lift the box out for emptying, the handles slide up so you can get a better grip. Then slide back in & disappear when you put it back. The portafilter rest has 2 thumbscrews. You can remove one or both so your portafilter sits level for when you're tamping your dose. The rest screws into the edge - and the hole is fitted with a metal insert - nice touch & will ensure durability. It has small rubber feet that I removed & replaced with machined aluminum feet to give it that fit/finish such a nicely made unit deserves. Even though it's pricey, it's still affordable & is durably made. Gives your counter that purposeful "coffee station" look, plus it actually does it's thing well!
