ZINUS Jessica Upholstered Metal Headboard, Easy Assembly, Queen, Grey

The media could not be loaded. My bedroom set is a little more farmhouse style but i was looking for a sturdy metal headboard to match my new frame, so I came across this one. At first I thought the screw holes didn’t match but that’s because the thicker part of the pieces have to be facing outward, then the holes line up perfectly. I installed this by myself and the hardware included has super long bolts but it doesn’t bother me just be sure to face the ends toward the inside. I also added a thin foam square in between the headboard and frame because it did make a clinging noise at first now it’s stable and silent. Definitely worth the price and easy to attach and build.

This summer I bought a Zinus mattress to "try it out" as part of a pretty massive move where I had to buy a lot of new stuff. I was so happy with the mattress that I bought the Zinus bed frame. I was super pleased with that. It looks good. It's sturdy. It provides ample storage space. The only problem was that my room looked really empty without a headboard. Going to furniture stores I was finding headboards for hundreds of dollars. I bought this one as an open box deal and got it for $60 delivered.It went together well and it fit perfectly. The thing looks really great and my bedroom has less of a dorm room feel and more of a "single professional dude lives here" feel. My price was great but I think the quality absolutely justifies it at $100 as well.The only criticism I have is that the screws that secure the headboard to the frame are incredibly long. Like, they protrude at least 2-3 inches past the leg. This meant I could have it stick out under the bed and cut back my storage space or pull the bed a little further from the wall. Not a loss of function. It was just a little odd considering I used it with the company's frame. I could replace those bolts with a quick trip to Lowes but it isn't really much of a bother. Everything else was pretty perfectly machined and considered.

The assembly was so easy; I got it together myself, didn't even bother with the instructions, and it only took minutes. I could also break this headboard back down into its 5 parts in 5 minutes, and it would easily fit into the trunk of any car.This headboard is softly padded where it counts, but the frame is rock solid. The rectangular metal tubing locks together with nice hefty hex bolts that are no joke. It will not wiggle; no matter how I try to rack it.I am guessing its over engineered, and that's not a complaint. The hex bolts match a thick hex wrench, and everything about this feels stronger than is probably necessary for holding the headboard together.It feels like a strong bonded finish; maybe electrostatic or powder coat; but not gloss. Its a nice muted matte finish. Its in no way delicate.My 60-inch wide queen headboard is a bit heavy, and it should be. The whole frame is metal. Its not light gauge either; it has real weight. The delivery box was deceptive in two ways; it was not shaped anything like a headboard, and it was a lot heavier than any wood headboard of comparable size.Given that this is a very inexpensive alternative to real wood headboards, I'm completely satisfied that this was the best choice for my decor. I trust this product to last, and I can see it would be easy to reupholster; should anyone want to bother. I happily recommend this product.

ordered it for my brother who just moved into his new place. his room looked extremely boring so i ordered him a headboard to help bring the room together a little bit. he said it was so easy to put together and he liked the color. i like that this one is a little taller than most as i wanted it to take up more wall space to fill the white of his room. i ordered him some prints and frames to go above his room as well but overall he liked it alot. it was a decent price and good quality for a boy

This is a great looking headboard. Price is amazing. Came carefully packed. Color looks great in person. To put it together was really simple as well. Took me about 5 minutes. Only thing I would advise are to get shorter screws for the part where the headboard has to be mounted to the bed frame. On the bottom portion they are just fine where it's underneath the bed, but the screws that go right where the mattress is they are unfortunately too long and don't allow you to put the mattress fully in the bed frame. Also since it's a metal headboard frame I would advise to put some rubber stoppers on the back of the headboard to prevent it from hitting the wall. There was no smell from the packaging. I would definitely recommend 10 out of 10.

Perfect complement to the Zinus Gene frame that I bought as an ensemble. Very sturdy, directions were very clear and parts labeled better than any DIY furniture item I have ever assembled. Side note: If you wish to attach this to the recessed leg frames like the Zinus Gene and others you will need the Zinus headboard brackets sold separately for around $15. The brackets, frame, and headboard mated perfectly together.The headboard looks better in person than in photos. The padding behind the medium to darkish gray fabric is thicker than I expected and gives it a higher end feel. Also there is a slight bias pinstripe to the fabric which makes it look like something that would be used for a men's suit. I was personally happy to see this extra touch rather than a flat, boring fabric that I was expecting. It really does look much more expensive than it was. IKEA has some competition both in aesthetic and sturdiness. I can't imagine this headboard falling apart too easily. Very happy with my choice. Also, the pleated dark gray bed skirt from Amazon Basics matches almost perfectly with the headboard and covers up the metal bed frame and contents stored below. Just a little FYI.
