Light therapy…
Let me start by tackling one of the major points of this item. I’m sure you will know what I am going to say, and that is the price at £169.99 (atow), it is at the high end of what you might be prepared to pay. However, what is it that your getting for your money?I hate to admit it. But, you actually get quite a lot. I was dubious to start off with. But my initial thoughts and worries were soon dispelled. After only a few uses, there were visible changes to my cold sore. It recommends 3-5 uses a day for treatment. But, I only had time to use it twice a day. Each treatment being about 60 seconds in length. Even at this reduced rate, there have been changes and improvements to the area being treated.I’m a convert. This really does work.Ok so the price is a major sticking point. But, if you can afford it. It is well worth the money.

Amazing!
The Bestqool Light Therapy Cold Sore Device is a great product for anyone who suffers from cold sores. This device uses red and blue light therapy to provide relief from pain and to manage lip sores. I have been using this device for a few weeks now and have noticed a significant improvement in the appearance and duration of my cold sores. The device is small and easy to use, making it perfect for on-the-go treatment. It comes with a rechargeable battery, so you don't have to worry about constantly replacing batteries. The red and blue light settings are easy to switch between, and I appreciate that the device automatically shuts off after 5 minutes of use to prevent overexposure. One thing to note is that the device does get hot during use, so it's important to be careful and avoid prolonged contact with the skin. Additionally, while the device is effective in managing cold sores, it is not a cure and may not work for everyone.Overall, I highly recommend the Bestqool Light Therapy Cold Sore Device for anyone looking for a safe and effective way to manage their cold sores.

Very well built.
I think that the overall benefits of this device will be seen over many weeks, rather than a few initial goes - but I'll likely forget to update the review then, so here are my initial thoughts. The unit is well made, with a good weight to it. The info panel is easy to read at pretty much any angle and overall, the unit is easy to operate. The three modes (Red, Blue and Purple/mixed) are easy to select between and the experience of using the device is as comfortable as can be expected. The cooling is both quick and effective and the overall experience of using it is pretty effortless.I'd say that the unit is very much aimed at the female market - though it can be used by both sexes, though it appears that it's more useful with finer hairs than courser ones - such as beards. The colouring of the unit does make if feel quite a feminine product, but at the end of the day, does the colour of a product really matter?I personally didn't really like the shield that was given as part of the set - preferring to use safety glasses which I personally felt offered a bit more protection - I'd have liked a pair to be included in the set as standard - as the set itself is on the pricier side and I think that this would have been a welcome addition. The areas that I treated perhaps showed a little degradation in hair growth - but I understand that this will probably happen with repeat courses. I'll leave it to 'the wife' to see the benefits in full over time.I think that this is a nice unit, though as other have pointed out - it lacks NIR (Near Infra Red) light, which given the price is a bit surprising - so bear this in mind when deciding to purchase.I'd have preferred a second battery at this price, as well as a carry case - but it is what it is at the end of the day.

Not sure if it works yet…
This lamp is quite expensive and promises a lot… still not convinced it works. I’ve seen improvements but don’t know if it’s because of the light. Maybe it does though, so I would still be careful with how long/often you use it.

A revelation
I didn't know what to expect with this, never having used red light therapy before, I have heard of it but never used it.Lets start at the beginning, it comes nicely packed in a super strong cardboard box, all the parts a nicely nestled in a cut out foam insert, the instructions are basic telling you do's and don'ts but very little else. You get a plug in charger, I would have preferred a usb, it is what it is. It is fairly easy to assemble with the wand and shield, I don't see the point of the shield, If you are using this on your face for cold sores you are in front of the light and the shield offers absolutely no eye protection at all, it would have been better with some sort of goggles.I do not have any cold sores at the moment so can't comment on its use for healing them but I did bang my hand last week and had a small under skin bleed that looks like a small bruise, after using the wand on this I have started to see it fade in about 3 days, usually takes 2 - 3 weeks, so very pleased with that.I do think it is a bit on the expensive side but I am sure over the many years it will last cost per year will make it worth it. I gave it 4 stars based on price and the pointless eye shield.

Works lovely !
So this works best when you first notice that tingle or red spot emerging. If caught early and used the recommended among of time there is little to no symptoms that erupt. If caught later it helps with recovery. Would recommend!

Didn't know about this type of therapy but seems to work
Not sure if it's luck or if it is this type of therapy but my wife gets cold sores all the time and this came up at the right time. She used it a couple of times and the cold sore went back down without much issue.Quite a weighty device and is very powerful, definitely don't want to look into the light on this.Instructions are decent but there is no way to turn the device off, you need to leave it on the side until it beeps and turns itself off.
