Multi-device, backlit, GREAT KEY ACTION, num pad, volume and media keys. No place to grab it.
It's love/hate with this keyboard -- and I do mean LOVE. I refuse to put it down, even though it ticks me off! The typing feels and sounds amazing. I really didn't expect a good mechanical feel for this price. The lighting is great (it does refuse to show before the battery runs out though, but that's how I know it's time to plug it in; and I use it while charging.) The battery is reasonable. I charge it once a week or so, using it all day long. The letters are lit from behind so you can see them well in the dark. I never use the fancy moving lights because I just can't deal with a lot of flashing in my peripheral vision when I'm trying to read. (There are too many options in my opinion.) The lights are bright too. I always use the lowest setting. It connects to my three devices quickly and seamlessly. I use it on my living room PC, on my tablet (like a laptop), and on my Android TV, all day long. I had to put the USB dongle on a long cord near me because I just don't get consistent connection otherwise (My PC is 10-15 feet away.) But that's always been the case in my house. It's not the keyboard's fault. I've used it over Bluetooth connected in another room. It's not perfect but it will work in a pinch, (and that's with a bazillion wireless devices, routers, and phones in between.)Gripes:First small thing is that even though there is a "Windows" mode, and a "Mac" mode there is no "Android" mode. It works well on Android for the most part, but I'd like to see more shortcut keys (like a send button when texting.) (There's an App for that though: "Quick TV Actions".)Windows is actually where it gets wonky occasionally. For some reason the Num pad, with Num Lock on, doesn't want to work sometimes. Rebooting my PC, oddly, resets it. But my other keyboards work fine. I've started using a little utility called "Numlocker" to force it to stay on. Also, the keyboard likes to sleep sometimes and there is a hiccup before I can hit my fist key. It's not bad, and doesn't happen when continuously typing. It's also a bit of a learning curve to get used to the placement of the keys. I often place my fingers too far to the right if I don't look when I first place them. (The Num pad makes it want to sit off-center on your lap.)Now for my big hate/annoyance. There is no way to pick this thing up without pressing keys!!! In addition, the keys are very easy to press so I'm always hitting something accidentally. Even the edge of the blanket on my lap hits them when I move. It's really not intended for your lap in the living room I guess, but that's where I'm using it. It needs a wrist rest, or enough extra space on the bezel(?) to pick it up. I have gotten into the habit of turning it off before I lay it down, or adjust my position. It's very annoying though. I may see if I can find some kind of rigid plastic platform, or desk-pillow to attach it to with velcro so I can have just a little thumb space to grab it. I like the slim size because I can store it in my coffee table cubbie hole and it slides in perfectly next to my storage baskets. But I pay for the convenience. It wants to slide around in your lap, so I ended up sticking a long piece of carpet tacking tape to the back and that solved the problem. However I have this problem with many keyboards because I like to put my knees up to save my back.My husband has big, long hands and says the key-spacing is just too small for him (I have medium female hands.) He loves the feel of the typing action so much, though, that he'd be willing to get used to it for full-time use. He just gets annoyed because he doesn't use it often, so when he does it feels weird to him. I may buy him a bigger one if this brand makes it.Really great keyboard overall, especially since it's not overpriced like so many keyboards recently. I'm quite happy with it in my living room despite the little things I have to work around. I shopped around and returned a couple. This ticks all my boxes.

Smooth typing keyboard - perofrms like higher priced ones.
This keyboard feels like it is much more expensive than it really is. Here’s the breakdown:Pros:- Stylish: Rounded keys are a nice touch: sets it apart from other standard keyboards.- Low profile keys: fast actuation of switches - not great for heavy handed people, though.- Ability to have a solid backlight (not patterned) - a plus for me.- Quiet keys: not silent, but not clicky. Similar to Brown switches.- Has an on/off switch that is easily accessible.- Dedicated media control knob and buttons: volume up/down, play, pause, forward, back.- When taking photos, this keyboard's LED's were not flickering like my other keyboard. Better quality?Cons:- Key font is thin: Light coming through is not as bright as others.- Light feel: other mechanical keyboards are heavier, with a good heft.- Kickstand is not very high: approx. 5°-7° Not bad, but since it has low profile keys, the angle feels much lower.- The volume knob is small (10mm dia.) and feels a bit wobbly.- If you are not great at keyboarding, you may unintentionally activate other keys b/c of the lower profile.- Rounded keys are spaced closer together than standard square ones (approx. 1/8” or 3mm) versus my standard keyboard (approx. 1/4” or 6.5mm). Novices (like me) are bound to occasionally hit 2 keys at once.Photos show my current keyboard and my new ProtoArc (rounded keys). For the record, the lights show up brighter than they really are in the photos and they are on the maximum brightness level. I took some photos with the backlight off to show the actual font thickness compared to my old keyboard.Overall, a great keyboard for the price with a good, fluid feel.08/12/24:This is not a deal breaker, but I have one more "con". This keyboard does not "sync up" with my other ProtoArc USB dongles that I have (2 track ball mice). In other words, I need to have all 3 USB dongles connected to my laptop hub for all of my ProtoArc accessories to work. I wish they would have a system that allows all accessories to connect with each others' USB plugs - like Logitech. As I said, not a deal breaker, but it would free up some USB ports.
