Solid construction with easy installation.
This is a reliable solution for mounting your SSD, offering sturdy construction and hassle-free installation.I have to highlight the excellent build quality of this adapter bracket. It's evident that Crucial has put a lot of effort into ensuring durability and longevity. The bracket feels solid and well-made, providing a secure mount for my SSD.Installation was a breeze, thanks to the included screws and user-friendly design. I was able to attach my SSD to the bracket quickly and easily, with no need for any additional tools or equipment. Plus, the bracket's compatibility with both 2.5" and 3.5" drive bays adds to its versatility and convenience. While the price may be slightly higher than some other options on the market, I believe the quality and reliability of the Crucial adapter bracket justify the cost. It's a small investment that provides peace of mind, knowing that my SSD is securely mounted and protected. It's a well-designed and durable solution for anyone looking to mount their SSD in a desktop PC or server. If you value quality and ease of installation, I highly recommend considering this adapter bracket for your SSD mounting needs.

The Acronis software was easy to download and use
Used this to install a new Crucial BX100 250GB to replace my existing Corsair Force 60GB boot drive. The Acronis software was easy to download and use, I used the automatic setting but the manual settings didn't look complicated, (there are videos and articles on both the Crucial and Acronis sites). It cloned the drive in about 6 minutes and produced a bootable drive which worked first time with all software working correctly. Just be sure to use a USB 3.0 socket, I had read reports of the cloning process taking days so I connected it to a USB 2 socket as an experiment and the estimated time was 3 days! The five stars is based on using USB 3. This was the first time I have cloned a drive so an overview of the process rather than separate instructions for the software and physically installing the drive in the case would be nice but I worked it out myself in about 20 minutes.

Good kit, but didn't fit my PC
This kit comes with everything you need to install an SSD in a desktop PC, however, despite checking that it was compatible for my pc it did not work for me. This will work great if you can secure in into the drive cage using the side screw holes, however my old drive was secured from the back, so this did not fit/line up to any of the screw holes. It is a good kit, if a little overpriced compared to other similar ones on the market, just not the one for me.

(good place for the SSD in an iMac 2009) <-excellent brackets!
Bought several of these to add a 2.5" SSD to a 2009 iMac. The benefit is that the offset fixing holes match perfectly with the iMac drive cables which don't stretch. Other brackets usually place the drive in the centre of the bracket and the iMac leads would not stretch that far.

Be sure you actually need all the bits
Good quality install kit but it's quite expensive compared to comparable items from other suppliers. I only need half the bits in the end. If you're installing an additional drive you are likely to need a piggyback power cable and obviously a data cable which can be purchased must cheaper and with more useful cables. You will need the small screws to secure the SSD to the pc frame which my pc already had the correctly placed holes so the supplied frame wasn't required. I would also recommend downloading Diskgenius (which is free) to set up your new drive how you want to.

Faultless....
Bought a few of these over the years and I cannot fault them at all. These are the type that offset the 2.5" SSD so that it can be plugged directly into a 3.5" SATA bay that has hard-wired connectors as I have noticed that a lot of them now are becoming more centrally mounted and cannot be used for plug n play but for say in PC Towers where SATA cables can be used.

The Easiest Way to Migrate to a New SSD
Yes, you can buy the individual parts of this kit cheaper and work it out, but the kit makes it extremely easy to migrate to your new SSD. The software worked really well and the linked YouTube videos made the process very easy.

Avoid if Crucial SSD owner
Pretty expensive piece of tat. The screw holes don't line up properly and the screws provided don't even fit into my new Crucial SSD
