I bought this item for my son in law , as he always seems to hit his golf ball into the drink ! He recovered a ball on his first outing after receiving my gift, he was well impressed. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I haven't benefited from it !

this is the best club in the bag as it recovers all my lost ball,if dones take up any space folds out well and grabs balls well, not much else to say really.the worst you play the sooner it pays its self off

I play at a couple of different courses and both have either deep gorse bush or significant water features, both of which normally mean your ball is gone if it goes anywhere near them. But this changes that and means a better score to bootThis is telescopic: just untwist, extend and twist tight to secure in place again. It can go from 41.5 cm to 189cm. So it's small enough to fit in the side pouch of any golf bag which is really handy.It's easy to use. As mentioned above you can easily adjust the length. The handle is plastic with a moulded grip, and the basket is on a swivel that flicks up and down. There's a small arm of plastic to help secure the ball in the basket. It's well worth having a practice at home with this extended as it does take a bit of technique to grab a ball from deepest darkest gorse bushes without it disappearing forever into the depths of dead gorse.When you do get the hang of it you'll be retrieving balls, saving your score, and your wallet. Depending on how good (or bad) you are at the game you will easily recover enough of your own balls (and a few "bonus" balls) to more than pay for the cost of this.The only reason it's not 5* is that the basket is plastic and i would prefer more length. But to be able to fit it in your bag without a seperate bag attachment i would say it's a good trade off.Good quality and value. Recommended. Thank you for reading my review. This is a perfect accessory to have in your golf bag. It's really useful for picking your ball up from even the most awkward of places - within reason. It's nice and study too. It's light enough to forget about until you need it - which for me is sadly more often than I'd like to share. It would make a great gift for the golf-lover in your life, especially at this price!

The media could not be loaded.  Now to explain my title, I have a spine injury, and thus I can struggle sometimes with finer motor skills in my arms, like a quick twist of my wrists, which is purely “me”, otherwise I think this would be 4 stars.So this is well made.The pole section of this is decently strong, with a good firm, solid, sliding motion. I find it easy to slide out, and easy to retract, but because of my own inabilities, I can struggle to twist/flip/scoop, a ball into the cup section. Now that’s not to say I can’t, because I can, just not always. The actual design works well, and is very simplistic to use.The build quality is good too, from the “extendable” portion, to the nice chunky, grippy handle section, its all done well, and feels good, I particularly like the thickness of the handle, because it makes it easy to hold and grip.All in all, this is well made, and very functional.

The media could not be loaded.  So this item is telescopic, and is a very portable size when at its smallest. It feels sturdy, and extends well. It’s really quite long and my husband felt to was the perfect size for retrieving balls that have gone into ditches especially. There is a specific way of collecting the ball, as seen in the video I attached. You put the cup over the ball ( like catching a butterfly with a net) and the ball clicks in. You then lift it up out of the water or whatever. No scooping needed.I would recommend this. A good piece of kit.
