Bought it due its rechargeable capability compared to AirTag, but battery drains in shorter periods and I didn’t even notice this. I like it’s compatible with “Find my” App and works great. The light is not too bright but enough to find the lock in dark areas.

I really love this key finder! I would purchase it again (and might for my husband). This is actually the second KeySmart that I’ve purchased (the first was not a key finder). However, there are two (2) things about the key finder that I wish could be improved. First, it would be nice if the device made a sound when the battery is running low so that I know when to charge it. I frequently forget just because there’s no battery life indicator that I can readily see and no audible indication that the battery is low or nearly dead. Therefore, I don’t really know how often I need to charge it, either. I’ve just been winging it and failing spectacularly. Second, I wish the screws that hold the keys would stay in place better. Whenever I move the keys, the screws come out a little bit more until they’re pretty loose and I’m afraid I’ll lose my keys. I truly do love how small and compact the key finder is, though. It fits easily in any of my pockets and it’s very lightweight, even full of keys. I also appreciate that I can find my keys (or my keys can find my phone!), so long as the device’s battery is charged. So, I would definitely recommend this key finder, especially if you have a mess of keys that are just out of control, like I did before I bought a KeySmart. It’s pretty awesome!

I’ll admit it takes a good amount of patience to get the keys on properly, but just do it correctly the first time and it’s worth it.. I only charge it here and there and I’ve always been able to utilize the features without issue… I like that it keeps the keys organized and I can use the “find” app on my iPhone to locate them if necessary.. the best feature is that if I leave my keys at work or my parents’ house, I get an alert on my phone as I attempt to drive away saying “keys left behind” so I can turn around and get them before driving 30-45 minutes home!

UPDATE: I emailed keysmart customer service and still no response. Don’t waste your money on this product. I bought this because it said it works with find my on iPhone. I opted for this instead of buying a keychain with an actual AirTag holder. I was at my grandsons birthday party at a bowling and Game Center and my keys were lost. I thought no problem I’ll be able to find them I mean it works with find my right? NOPE The only thing it found was that my keys are in this massive building somewhere and it will not connect to the keychain to make a sound for me to locate them not to mention it doesn’t have the nearby feature like my AirTags do…. I had to get someone to drive 150 miles to bring me my spare key because it costs so much to replace my car key… what’s so frustrating is that it still shows my keys are there somewhere and no one can find them. I should have just put an AirTag on my keys. My other items that have an AirTag and do actually work with find my located the items they were attached to in the same building. I think Keysmart should buy me a replacement key and refund my purchase for this falsely advertised product. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO FIND YOUR LOST KEYS

Got one for myself plus several more for stocking stuffer gifts. After one week the battery would not recharge so the led light and tracker became worthless. Keyholder still works but save some money and buy the cheap one that doesn’t have the light or tracker.

I really wish it was sturdier. Not sure how but mine cracked and I’m sad because it was such a great idea for the project. I loved being able to connect to it my find my app on Apple devices. Hope they’ll develop something with real durability in mind. Updating my review 10/23/2025 Customer service reached out to me to offer a refund, but left me on read for about a year. After following up with them I finally received my refund. Thank you. Hoping to see another low profile keychain with multi-key capacity and tracking built in in the future. I really do like the product, just need it to last.

Time consuming, frustrating & fiddly - I found it really difficult to set up. I felt like throwing it away at one point but I’d paid for this thing so I kept trying to assemble it. Such poor instructions - it gives you a QR code to scan and the video that comes up shows a different looking KeySmart. It doesn’t feel very strong so I am not filled with confidence that it will last long & a bit concerned that it might just fall apart and my keys may go everywhere. One good thing about it is that It does have a key finder option using ‘FindMy’ in my case using my Apple iPhone. That’s a nice thing - that was easy to set up so if you put your keys down somewhere in your house & can’t see them. It needs charging monthly - comes with charging cable. If I knew all this prior I would never have purchased it. It looks pretty but looks can be deceiving. Note that some keys will not fit such as a small key for a bicycle lock does not fit on the key spindle. And the end of the bottle opener tool which has the holder for your car fob, garage opener at the end of it is so tiny that you have to add a bigger ring as I have done in the photo.

Device itself is great. It’s not heavy and is easy to dissemble and assemble. I also like the light and bottle opener options. Contoured shape means it’s comfortable and fits great in my hand. What’s lacking are quality instructions for setting the KeySmart device up with the Find My app. The package directions don’t tell users to depress a small button on the device to enable iPhone to find the KeySmart. Two short beeps confirm iPhone has the device’s location (also not mentioned). Would love more colour selection. The rose gold colour is easier to find in my purse than the black, which is why I bought it. A range similar to the other devices in the KeySmart product line would be appreciated.
