Rösle Salad Tools & Spinners, Stainless Steel 18/10

I used a cheap plastic spinner for some time but it always left a bit too much water water on lettuce no matter how much I spun it. This became a problem after I invested in some expensive balsamic vinegar (well worth it) as it got diluted. Having looked at many alternatives I focused on the Rosle (I have two of their strainers which are excellent). The price is quite high but the results are just what I was hoping for; I usually spin the contents clockwise and then anti-clockwise to remove the maximum amount of water. The sturdy handle for the spinning mechanism makes the job very easy. The equally sturdy overall construction means that I can let it spin down without it wobbling all over the place (there is a rubber button to stop it early if necessary). A quick wipe of the bowl then means that the salad can be dressed and presented attractively. I like the matt exterior of the bowl which contrasts wit the shiny interior. The lid can be dismantled for through cleaning just by undoing two sturdy plastic screws though this is not necessary most of the time. It clips into place on the bowl quite tightly, this both helps with the spinning and means that it could be used for storage. I cannot agree with the other reviewer who does not like the fact that the basket sits on a removable plastic inset rather than having the bowl shaped. The mechanism works very well and it does mean that the bowl can be used for serving, a salad bowl with a dimple seems an odd idea!

Wow, what a great bit of kit. Bought for my mothers 71st birthday present. This looks fantastic in my parents kitchen and on the table.I saw one review that nearly put me off saying about the plastic part on which the basket spins. All I can say to that person is get over yourself! A simple solution to centre the basket and allow it to spin freely.Not only does this look and feel superior to the cheaper options found on Amazon, but it works very well too. My folks give this a good spin to get their salad almost bone dry. Not sure why I didn't buy this for my folks years ago!Fits snuggly in the fridge too, so keeps the salad cool and fresh for days.Worth every penny and I would recommend to anyone. In fact why would anyone buy anything else!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this. It's a 'forever spinner' The minor change I'd make is a non-slip base but it's pretty close to perfect. Super fast spin (even with a break!), good size for a family of 3 or 4 (equally suitable for 1) and very sturdy construction.

I was disappointed to receive a standart Rosle bowl with a separated plastic base on which the basket meant to spin around. Seriously? For that amount of money they couldn't bother to make a bowl with a raised middle and pointy bit for the spinning basket?! After ordering a few similar models of differen brands, I decided to keep my old, but quite convenient ikea one.
