Don't Fear Change
For years all ff fans have enjoyed a genre that had a simple and good recipe but square enix need to branch out to continue to compete in the market, this game isn't perfect by any measure however it shows and interesting perspective on the possible future of the greatest series of games ever.

Fantastic
This game. The story, the pacing, the gameplay, the music, my god. Everything comes together so well, and the story, the world it is set in, is incredible. The characterization is done extremely well, and the voice actors are at top form. It took a long while to create this game, but it was damn worth it. One thing to note, while the battle system is complex and very rewarding if I might add, the game will guide you through it.Enjoy this masterpiece!

Good.
Graphics: Very good.Story: Very good.Characters: Good.Combat: Below average (spamming A over and over isn't that interesting)Free-roaming: Terrible (it's often a one way street)I didn't finish the game, fans of the series will no doubt love it. Otherwise, it's average.

Repacked items
No leaflet, different cd case as what I seen from unboxing videos. This game I purchased is repacked well with the xbox sticker seal to fool you as if it is a brand new item but if you look closely inside, it is a used game

Not what its made out to be
I was hoping for a turn based RPG, its a button masher, There is very few choices to make, look up the required tactic on google, press button quickly. Saying that I completed it, mercifully short

So good.
I've played this game like 3 times over on 390 and I plan on playing this and FFXIII-2 on my Xbox One as they're backward compatible now :) yippee! One of my fave FF games since FFX and FFVIII, my personal top 3 FF games.

Alright, but not amazing.
Final Fantasy 7 on the PS1 was one of my favourite games of all time. It still is. I played that to death, finishing the main story, defeating the weapons, replaying to try things with different characters. I absolutely loved that game and I've played several Final Fantasy games since. This particular game was given to me by my cousin Dean. He'd got bored of it and said I could have it. I was quite excited at the prospect and immediately wanted to play it - the last time I'd played an FF game was FF8 on the PS1 and I wanted to see where the genre had gone. Now I'm sure some people will love this. I didn't. It's hard to explain exactly why. Part of me feels that I never got deep enough into the game to really appreciate it at its best. The thing is, I keep trying to play it, getting so far, then getting bored and picking something else up. Up to the point where I got to in the story, the game was very linear with no opportunities to affect the narrative with your decisions. That's not necessarily a game-killer, but you kind of feel like it would have been nice to have some freedom here. The levels also seem very linear, at the start of the game at least you never seem to be able to deviate from the path at all. The battles, at the very start seem simplistic and quickly become quite repetitive. At the point where I got to, additional layers of complexity were being added, but by then it was a little too late. The story seemed quite good, the characters, at least the girl who seems to be the main protagonist are likable and there's nothing drastically wrong with the voice-acting. Yeah, there's a bit of typical Japanese Final Fantasy 'weirdness' in the mix, but that's part of the game's character. The killer for me. The thing that makes me put this down unfinished again and again - is the gameplay. It might improve if you can get deeper into the game, but the very fact that I can't get deep enough into the game to find it fun to play is a flaw to me. It's not that it's difficult, it's just that the gameplay isn't very engaging. I may have another crack at getting through this one day, but I'm not optimistic it can hold my interest to the point where I complete it.
