Red Samurai

Unlike a lot of other keycaps, these are just doing what they're supposed to. They're no-nonsense. They use a regular looking font that's easy to read and doesn't look weird. I bought there for my dad's keyboard, so I don't use it, but I will say that they're pretty thick and should last a while.

These keycaps are BEAUTIFUL!! Installation was simple and straightforward with a couple caveats. I had trouble with a couple of keys due to the "compact" configuration of my keyboard. The ctrl and alt on the right side of the keyboard did not fit because the keycaps are 1U a the oems are 1.25 I think. I was able to make it work though. I just wish they gave more keycap options since the listing states widely compatible for various sizes of keyboards. I would recommend this set and am thinking about purchasing more for my work set up! 1 thing to note is that my keyboard has south facing leds with gateron milky yellow pro v3s.

I ordered these and 2 different brand mechanical keyboards on prime day. The caps went on the keyboard I received today that has red cherry style switches with no issue. I am a little unsure if I like the transparent base as of yet as this keyboard only has a soft pale blue north facing light under it. My RK should be here in the next few days and that is RGB, so I will be able to tell once I get that if the light bleed through the base of the caps is pleasing to me or not. The Good: The caps have a nice feel and the profile matches pretty good to the keyboard I bought that arrived in the same package. I have swapped out several keys so I can get a feel for everything. The printing looks solid, has crisp lines, and I love that you can play with how the keyboard looks with replacing caps completely, or just certain ones. They seem to be quality. This is my fist time using Dye sub caps, so I do not know what to expect for wear yet. This was a complete set that covers the 10 key and additional keys past a 60% board. They were in stock and no waiting for group buy headaches. Pretty inexpensive way to add some personalization to you bland desk. The bad: Not really a solid bad at this point, and I knew from the pictures/description that this was how they are, but I do not know if I will like the translucent base for my daily driver. It is not really a good or bad, more of, I do not know what I prefer yet.

The Arctic (CSA) keycaps are nice, with good colors and consistent printing (though the font is "old-school"). Everything seems consistently made, and there are enough extra options that you have some flexibility as far as how much color you want to introduce. I'm not too familiar with keycap profiles, but this one (CSA) is sculpted and fairly tall, and has tons of room for the fingertips. The space bar is a bit louder than the rest, but i don't know if that's typical and it doesn't bother me. They feel great to type on, and my WPM immediately jumped up by 10 compared to OEM and MOA profiles.

I like these keycaps very much. Because they have big easy readable letters. Yellow letters on black plastic. I changed my original keycaps on DAS Keyboard. I did not like the original keycaps, because letters were small. Fogruaden keycaps are transparent? I do not care, my keyboard do not have LED lights on it. My Fogruaden keycaps look black.

Good look and feel to these chunky ASA keycaps, but there is too much tolerance in the stems compared to other MX-compatible keycaps, which makes them wobbly, especially when fully depressed, and causes some compatibility issues with stabilizers. It took quite a bit of work to properly seat the Backspace, Enter, Shift, etc. keys in such a way that there wasn't extra contact with the stabilizers preventing the keys from popping back up after pressing down.

I nearly started writing this on my other board, then thought it would be silly NOT to write this review on the Blue Samurai keycaps, so I plugged in my wired Q2 with browns and now we're ready to go. These caps feel great to the touch, they're substantial and smooth, with clearly defined edges and delightful contour. Build quality for the price is excellent, all of the stems mated smoothly, I don't see any plastic casting issues, the colors are all uniform. The vintage font is a delightful touch, they're giving warm CRT Terminal vibes, they're giving Library.

These keycaps are really nice!!! They’re smooth to the touch and the thickness of them is perfect! Very nice quality. The only thing you should note is that the yellow row is hard to read as the letters are white.

These keycaps are so thick and have a good thock sound. for the price probably cannot beat, i got the blank set to enhance ny touch typing.

The printings on the key caps do vary a lot in position, from cap to cap.

Really nice keycaps. I especially like the words associated with each letter, it’s a good reminder to stay positive. The painted caps are also nice and calming reminder. Compared to my previous full double shot PBT MDA profiles; the sound is slightly higher pitched and/or “crisper” sounding. The video gives a small comparison. I’ve also included pics of the size difference as well as the effects from south facing lights through the transparent portions. The only thing I would have liked to see is a couple more novelty caps or at least an Esc key cap; or some spares. In my case I have a F13 key, but no novelty cap to put on it, and since there’s no Esc key cap, it has used up the only spare cap. It would have been odd to put the extra pg up, pd dn, keys for F13. One more thing to be aware of is due to the horizontal alignment there are some keys that have the shift value on the left side as opposed to the right side, such as the “:;” key, conventionally the left side should be “;” since it’s the regular value and “:” is the shift value. Therefore for US keyboards it should be “;:” instead of “:;”. There are a few other keys like that too. All in all, I really enjoy the new keycaps.
