Affordable and effective tubing mascara
I LOVE this affordable tubing mascara. It has all the features of the more expensive Thrive brand, but I find it to be easier to apply without clumping, and the tube itself seems to last longer and not dry out as quicky (and I live in a very dry climate in Colorado!) A must-have to natural looking but voluminous lashes.

Too stiff. Lost 2 lashes.
It's like glue. Lost 2 lashes. I have another 7 mascara that I love but I couldn't find it . So I tried this but it's too stiff.

Good for NO SMUDGING but not for thicker lash looks
I read about "tubing" mascara and this one was recommended. I like it - it does not irritate my eyes, it goes on easily, and the tubes come off when you rub your eyes in the shower or when using a makeup wipe and water. I will say that this is not as effective as other mascaras as you cannot really "build" it. A swipe of the wand lightly covers the lashes, but if you're looking for a thicker mascara then perhaps look at others.

Looking for a non-smudge mascara
I bought this because it is said to "stay put." The first time I used it, I had quite noticeable smudging under my eyes. I tried it again, but used L'Oreal's lash primer after the mascara had dried. So far that has worked for me, so am happy with that! I do not like the brush at all. I am using a different brush and my lashes do not stick together and look like spider legs as with the brush that comes with it. I will see how it goes with this tube, and possibly re-purchase.

Same results as the original gold tube, behaves a little differently
I relied heavily on the video that shows a side-by-side comparison of the old versus new packaging and was not disappointed! Being a devotee of the original Boots No7 in the gold tube, my heart sunk when I saw new packaging because that often means a formula has changed. For me the end result was the same: volume, length, and all-day, smudge-proof, run-proof wear. This version does take a bit longer to dry, but it's also more buildable, in my opinion. If you've never worn tube mascara or have trouble removing it: please know that HEAT is the key to removing this particular mascara. Oil-based makeup remover does help it loosen, but you NEED warm water held to your lashes for several seconds before the little spider legs slide off easily. The warmth is what makes it flexible enough to come off your eyelashes.

Waste of time
I was looking for a Thrive dupe, because Thrive is kinda spendy, dries out quickly and then tends to flake. With my oily skin, tubing mascara is the way to go.But this definitely ain’t it.I will say this mascara is not as horrible as I thought when I first tried it. There is a learning curve to it as this formula is more liquid than I’m used to. But you do need tools to make it look ok, like a lash comb or throw-away mascara wand to separate lashes. The wand it comes with is horrible, it just clumps all of your lashes together. The pic of my eye is after I already combed through them.I was able to separate my lashes a little better after waiting for the mascara to become a little more tacky. But honestly, who wants to spend all that time and effort putting on flipping mascara…? I’d rather pay more money. It does flake a little bit, but the flakes are small and barely noticeable.
