Getting past the boredom
Well I thought the book was interesting and smart. It was not what I had hoped for. It is more about self help then about lifting weights. If you need encouragement to get going on a program this book is for you. If you want to learn some weight lifting exercises only this book may not be worth price.

Easy to follow..
I had been looking for something like this , its an easy plan to follow for newbies to weight lifting or like me someone getting back into it. Plus it has two plans to follow , one to begin and a follow up .My doctor is liking the results I am getting in my weight loss and general well being since I started with the program.

Not great for older women 70+
Too difficult in terms of a simple routine. Keep it simple for the layperson. Give me a simple routine with what muscles they benefit. I already do dead lifts (2 moves) I guess I was looking for other suggestions. I got overwhelmed with the book. Sorry!

Works to firm up and drop weight
I've worked the exercises for 5 weeks and it's really working to tighten things up. I feel better and stronger. I like it contains 2 programs; I'll soon be ready to increase my dumb bell weight. Much less expensive than a personal trainer! Easy to follow and has a daily tracker if you wish to use.

It works
I’ve done 3 rotations of each program - increasing the weights each time. It’s been the change I need to lose weight and to just feel better in day to day activities. It only takes 15 - 30 min three times a week. I didn’t follow the aerobic or diet portions, because I already do those types of things. I’m happy I bought the book since it’s much easier to be consistent when you can do the routine at home vs the gym.

Good but deceptive
The plan seems sound, but the photos often show women with 3 to 5 pound weights but in instructions it says "lift a challenging but manageable load ,for most women that is approximately 8 pounds" page 158 pounds is a pretty heavy dumbbell, not what is in most photos.

Love this book, I lost 4 pounds after doing the first 28 day section. Easy to follow and motivating.
