Beelink GS1 6K TV Box 2GB/16GB Quad-core 64-bit ARM Cortex A53 WiFi 2.4G+5.8G Bluetooth 4.0 Android 7.1 TV Box

Nothing I expected to work, worked. New to 4k, just bought my first 4K TV with HDR10 & Dolby vision, already have a home theater system that play 7.1 channel audio. I got the Beelink GS1 to watch 4K video over my network, hard wired. Beelink has a network video player already installed, that’s the one good thing. Tried to play a 4K over video gigabit ethernet and it shutters, via USB3 and it still shutters. There is a scene in a movie where they are zooming into earth and zooming through the clouds, the clouds look pixelated, TV said the playback was 2160p HDR10. Same video playing on the TV connected to the USB looks flawless, same video playing on the Amazon Fire TV (Cube) via Wi-Fi looks flawless. There are two setting for audio, where to output audio and how to output audio, tried every setting and every possible combination and couldn’t get multi-channel audio working. Downloaded other video players with the same results. The Amazon FireTV (cube) played Amazon, Netflix, and my own store 4K HDR10, 10bit, videos perfectly fine over WiFi. I got the Beelink GS1 because I was under the impression I needed to hardwire my Ethernet and need more processing power to play back 4k HDR10 videos flawlessly, but it failed and the cheaper FireTV outperformed it.

Very smooth and easy to operate. Fast downloading and smooth streaming. Would definitely give 5 stars but the remote does not perform nearly as well as expected. It feels very cheap despite initial appearance from top viewpoint. Other than that it's an excellent device and can always purchase separate remote for $10-$15

Box is great but doesn't want to come on. Shouldn't have to hold down the damn power button to operate the machine. Stopped working after 2 days

Pros:1. Best hardware and benchmark scores in its class.2. The controller is nice, and with learning capability3. The interference is average but slick, I wish they’d let us delete the pages we don’t use.Cons1. The software is okay at best. Apps can and will crash. Had the software been more refined this would be an AMAZING box.
