Stopping valves from eating hosta roots

I used these in the Koi pond to make a basket for water lilies. Koi will eat the roots so they need to be in some sort of basket. These work well with a pool noodle and wrap on with wire.

I would recommend this product, ever since I used gopher baskets my roses have survived gopher attack

I have trouble with gophers in my yard. When I saw these I thought I would give them a try. I had just planted a beautiful rose bush that they destroyed. So I used this for another plant I bought. 2 days later I saw that the gopher came back but couldn’t get to the plant. They work!

Adequate size. Easy to fill, price is reasonable. Protects plants from critters.

Beats digging a path to bury chicken wire to keep gophers from eating my plants. Just had to dig a hole big enough for the plant and presto, Done! The wire bag can be rolled to make it smaller. Great idea.

I bought the 10 gallon baskets, with plans to use them with 5 gallon trees.As others mentioned, the bags are a very thin gauge wire. It is woven small enough to keep gophers out. Overall, the thin gauge wire may be a good thing for roots to be able to manipulate as they branch out.The bags were quite a bit smaller than I expected. I don't think it would be possible to get a 10 gallon plant in one of these. There is no flat bottom on the baskets, which I think is really hindering the overall size. That said, these were the perfect size for my 5 gallon application. They took the whole root ball and I was able to wrap it to the trunk of the tree.Overall, im happy with the purchase and would buy again. 1 point for me, 0 points for the gophers
