Really, Really Good Portable Therapy Light Kit; Lots of Nice Accessories
This is a very cool setup. The torch is 5 inches long and a little over 1 inch wide. The torch casing is heavy, sturdy, and shiny metal, no sharp edges or scratches anywhere. But the overall lamp is lightweight. There's an easy-to-set-up tripod with adjustable height. The torch nicely fits into the clamp at the top of the tripod. There's a knob below the clamp to change the angle of the torch/light beam. This kit has everything. The carrying case has compartment cutouts where everything fits, and there's an eye mask included. There's also a silver velvet drawstring bag for the torch, a lense cleaning cloth, and an instruction booklet. This kit contains not one battery but two, which is great. A battery charger is included so while one battery may be in use, another can be charging. And now most important, the light. It's intense. There are three colors of light, red, pink, and blue. There is also a pulse function. The light colors seem to have different positive effects. Lots of light choices so with repeated use I'll figure what color or pulse function works best. But, they all definitely work well for muscle soreness or spasms. An unexpected very good bonus is the light helps skin problems. There's an automatic shutoff which makes it very safe, no chance of receiving too much light. Remember don't look directly into the light, and since the light is so intense you could using tanning goggles in addition to the eyemask that's included.I've used a much larger and heavier red light therapy bulb mounted on top of a heavy metal tripod that can be adjusted to sitting or standing height. It definitely helps with muscle problems. But the light is not as intense as this torch, it's hard to move around, and of course I can't take it anywhere with me.This torch is so easy to move around. It's so portable, I can take it with me anywhere if I travel, and with the different light colors and pulse function there are many helpful options.I'm impressed with this torch and all the extra accessories that come with it. Love it, so glad I got it, I'll keep using it, and highly recommend it!

Blue light works great for tennis elbow
Got this red/ blue light for my nagging elbow pain. My elbow pain seems to bother me the most while I sleep. One night, while meditating, I got a message to use the blue light. Didn't know what it meant so I went to Amazon and looked up blue light for pain. I have been using it now twice a day for a week and my elbow pain is much lower now and I can sleep much better. It has helped tremendously with the pain and inflammation.

Great Package - Read Review for Caveats
What is red light therapy?According to a chiropractor I visited some time ago, it’s $25 to $50 a session, twice a week, for an indeterminate amount of time to help with my old age aches and pains.Ouch. Don’t which hurts worse - the empty wallet or my wrist and neck pain.I recently had the opportunity to try a larger 36 bulb unit when a neighbor introduced me to their light therapy unit.Problem was, although it did seem to help with my neck pain, it was difficult to set it and shotgunned red light all over the place. It also wasn’t portable in any sense and required users to be within a couple feet of the nearest electrical outlet or it wasn’t working. So, when I found this flashlight style unit with a great deal of portability I decided to give it a shot.It arrives in a nice carry case along with 2 rechargeable batteries (it uses just one at a time - the second is as a back up), a battery charger, case, eye cover, lens cleaner, carrying pouch, tripod, instructional pamphlet and, of course, the light unit (torch as they call it). This unit is also unique in that it offers users varying degrees of light intensity and even a pulse mode - most others don’t offer this - it’s usually just off and on with them. Naturally, since there’s just one button you’ve got to do a lot of pushing and cycling to get where you want. And one very good point - it has a forced 5 minute time limit. You cannot leave the unit on for more than 5 minutes before it automatically shuts down. Although this type of light shouldn’t burn skin, there have been reports of some skin irritation after users left the light on for too long.Keep in mind, these lights are not the same found in tanning salons. If you’re expecting your skin to tan, forget it.Probably the best point of all - it’s portable and comes with a tripod so you can position it without having to hold it (which does become tedious after a while). But there is one con that does need to be discussed - eye protection. Of course, you should not stare directly into any light source like this, but this light is so intense (especially in high red mode), it still blasts a great deal of light even when you’re pointing the unit at your skin far away from your eyes. For example, I concentrated the high level red on my wrist and had the light nearly touching my skin. The overspray (if you will) was still so bright I couldn’t look but for very short periods.Problem here is that the eye protection provided is what appears to be sleep mask. It really should be a pair of dark sunglasses. Also, I had to go online for more information of red light therapy - the included pamphlet was full of small print and generalized information. Now the big question - does it work? While it’s too soon to judge this small version compared to larger units, I do know the big boys offer some relief. It stands to reason this is a more localized version.About the only other downside is the price - it’s nearly 3 times more than a plug-in, lamp style unit. Guess you have to pay for that portability/flexibility.

comes with a stand to make it easier to use
I like that this red light therapy tool has a stand so you can put it on a table or on the bed and make sure it is aimed at the body part you want the light therapy on. It helps with pain and tense muscles. You can use this daily to help keep your skin more clear and muscles feeling good. It really works!

I Was Skeptical...
I wasn't sure about this product. I waited to write a review until I had used it for a little while. This has absolutely helped ease my arthritis pain! Not only that, but I'm pretty sure my skin is getting healthier in the process, as well. I'm always game to try new things and I'm usually let down, but not with this product. It will take time. It's not an immediate fix, but this light therapy is definitely something that I recommend!
