The Complete Shabbat Table Companion

Excellent for shomer, guests, just learning
Well hardbound. Valuable for a traditional Shabbat. Sephardic pronunciations and minhag differences can easily be made (This is written for Ashkenazi.) I have an Askenazi Mum and a Sephardic Father. Both approve of this ‘table companion’.Long-observant (shomer Shabbat) and guests, newly observant, and those learning or interested will benefit. As in Hebrew (for western users) this primer reads ‘back to front’. The Hebrew, with transliteration (phonetic sounding so non-Hebrew readers can pronounce the Hebrew), and English translation means that all (Hebrew and English speakers/ readers) may have a liturgically meaningful Shabbos.I recommend buying several copies so that others may follow along. I also consider it an excellent training aid for children.

Love it!!!
I love this! It’s just the guide I needed. However reading it from back to front is weird to me. Not sure if it was a misprint or if that’s the way all Jewish books are printed. I’m really enjoying it though. Easy to understand and put into practice.

Disappointingly short on material; misleadingly titled
Having often used the bencher book pictured on the CD I was expecting more material. The CD says it is the "audio version" of the Complete Shabbat Table Companion. Said bencher has the obvious Kiddush and Grace after meals, but also well over 100 zimrot. How many zimrot come on the CD? ZERO. NONE. Less than ONE. The CD does have the Kiddushim with the attached prayers and songs for both Friday night and Saturday and the Bircat Ha Mazon, as well as the three kabbalistic poems (Azamer, Asader, Bnei Heicholo) and the Havdalah service. This is GREAT material but it is only when you turn the CD over that you get to see "audio version based on the best-selling book". I don't believe the producers or sellers intended to mislead, but by not clearly stating what little is actually on the CD (maybe just print the table of contents?) and by using the picture of the book and by calling this "The audio version of the Complete Shabbat Table Companion", a buyer is left easily expecting more.

Other people attending the sabath were lost. I was not.
It was very informative.

When I received this product it still had the. ...
The book is great and is a nice addition to our Shabbat evenings.I do however have one complaint about the price..... When I received this product it still had the .50 cent pricetag sticker on it from "Goodwill". Seems as though I paid way to much for it, especially since it was advertised in "NEW" condition. It took me over an hour to get that darn sticker off :/
