Base has a very strong hold, once its down you can't move it. For me, the magnet works better on the outside of my case

A few notes before getting into the review:1) We mounted our metal plates below the centers of our phones, which is where the wireless charging/pay antenna is located.2) As a result, the phone's center of gravity is above the magnetic mount, which caused our phones to spin on the smaller, round mounts.3) I replaced my own small, round mount with WizGear's larger, rectangular mount.4) I will provide links to both the round mounts and the larger mount at the end of this review.Onto the review...We installed this mount on my wife's vehicle to use with her Pixel 3 XL. She needed a little extra clearance and the arm that raises up an inch or so made all the difference for what she needed.Installation is very straight-forward and very simple. From start to finish, it took me about two minutes. The part that took the most time was getting the mount angled and positioned to where she could easily see her phone. If anything, she would have preferred a slightly taller arm. We know WizGear offers a taller arm with a suction mount, but we wanted to stick with adhesive mounts due to the cleaner look and reduced chance of the mount coming loose at any given time. (We've tried the suction mounts before, but we've had them come loose on hot summer days where the interior of the car can reach over 120ºF.)The magnets felt VERY strong on this mount. They are much, MUCH stronger than those of the smaller round mount I had installed in my vehicle before. In fact, I'm almost convinced they're just a bit stronger than the magnets on my recently-installed larger mount (which I replaced the small round mount with).We waited a couple hours to ensure the adhesive had time to set up a bit before putting any load on it. We then went for a drive, intentionally taking a rough road and making a few hard, sharp turns to try to get the phone to spin on the mount. It stayed put, exactly as I had hoped.The only reason I gave this mount four stars rather than five is that the raised arm is shorter than anticipated. The only place we could place this mount on my wife's car was directly above the infotainment screen. Where the metal plate is located on her phone case (just below center), the phone partially obscures part of the infotainment screen. Now, it's not THAT big of a deal since the blocked portion of the screen does not show any crucial information, but it is still a minor inconvenience. If the arm was approximately 2", it would give plenty of room for the phone to completely clear the infotainment screen and offer a clean magnetic mount solution for virtually all phones on all dashboard locations.In summary, this is a fantastic mount for the money and I do highly recommend it. I like because I don’t have to hold my phone in my hand anymore.

Good for the money if you have a lighter or slim fitting phone. I drop mine all the time so I have a heavy duty case with a kickstand. Good product but this was just not compatible with the case I have. I even put 2 of the magnetic plates on the back but it still wont hold it enough without tilting or falling off completely.

Magnet is strong. The adhesive is not. Had to super glue metal to phone case and had to super glue magnet to dash. I use it all the time. Only bad thing is adhesive is no good.

I didn't think this was going to work , due to the fact that my dash had only one spot for me to put the mount . I knew I had to do something , as the vent mounted phone holder that I was using , was just not working out . Although my A/C vents work fine , when I attached the mount to the vent.....it was wiggle city ! The last straw was when the phone started to just fall out of the vent !!! So I went on line , saw all the good reviews and decided to give it a try . Am I glad I did ! The mount fits perfectly in the one spot I wanted to put it . Make sure to clean the surface first , as it attaches by an adhesive strip on the bottom . It comes with an extremely powerful magnet that holds the phone in place . Inside the box , there are a lot of adapters , for those of us without a metal case . I love this mount ! It holds my phone securely , and is so easy to use ! I even purchased another one for my other car !

J'ai collé le support sur le tableau de bord avec le collant double face fourni et après plusieurs mois il est toujours en place. J'ai inséré le disque magnétique entre le téléphone et l'étui en silicone et le téléphone tient bien sur le support.

Acheté avant l'été, ce produit était merveilleux. L'aimant tenait bien et l'adhérence aussi. Mais, aussitôt qu'il à fait chaud, la colle n'a plus tenu.

Those vent holders always fall so I got this for my wife and let me say she's very happy so I am as well!

The sticker that it came installed with would not stick with dash board. Removed and installed the second one that came with it and that one worked.

Sticks like hell.Amazing little product for my Lexus!
