We've only had the printer for a couple of weeks, but so far it's been great. We're coming from a Canon Ink Jet printer that always has the print head clogged when we go to use it. We tend to print infrequently, but when we do we want the printer to work. This printer has fit the bill perfectly. It was easy to set up and connect to the network. The color is perfect for brochures and basic color prints. We haven't tried pictures yet.One thing we haven't tried yet is 3rd-party toners. I've heard mixed things, but that could drastically change the review. When we switch toners to a 3rd-party, I'll try to update this review with fresh information.

The setup on my home network was a major pain (Win 10), but setup on a single PC with USB was a breeze. I use Wireless now on my network and it wakes up and prints in SECONDS. I've never had any printer - Laser or Ink Jet - start printing so fast. Then, it bangs out pages in seconds. The quality is great. I print a lot of graphics and photos for various purposes and the color is vibrant, accurate and glossy even on junk 20lb copy paper! On photo paper or card stock it's even better. I've tried various stocks of photo and standard paper/card and they ALL perform exceptionally. For the price I had only moderate expectations but man was I surprised! The printer software is highly customizable and it also works well for scanning and copying. The front paper feed is great (though a bit flimsy) and the unit is very heavy, but not matter. I've also used USB printing which is a breeze: stick in a flash drive, the display shows available files, pick your printing parameters/preferences and POOF!, it's printing in seconds. The duplex printing - which I didn't think I'd need - is GREAT. It's very fast and hasn't jammed or slowed down at all. I don't understand the paper path but it's printing one side, pulling the paper back in and printing the other while the next page is printing, so like every few seconds a page is coming out. The touchscreen panel has lots of options and settings which I'm still tweaking and it's mostly intuitive. Best printer I've ever owned, hands down.

Easy setup and the color is excellent. Very reasonable price, but expensive toner.

Everything is great about this printer other than the feeder does not scan double sided which is a bummer for my needs. Otherwise, it would be a 5 star all day! Prints very nice and very quickly. Does not hold a lot of paper at one time though if that matters.

Instructions on removing from box and setup easy to understand. Setup Guide pamphlet included. Got it operational fast with no issues, Prints/scans/copies very fast. Did not have to sign in to an account (or cellphone app) which was a big improvement over previous printer of another brand. Really like the question / option about sending info on what I print to company. It gives me a choice, which is nice. I typically only use a printer about 5-10 times a year. Hopefully it will last for years with no ink/print issues. I did not have much luck in the past with other printer brands. It came in a very large box and the printer itself is 50lbs... it holds down my table really well. YouTube how-to videos was very helpful. Driver install includes a short cut on desktop option for link to owner's manual. on Canon website.

We bought this device for our home, attracted by some good reviews and the features. It is very difficult to set up; we are still struggling to get basic features operational. An absurd problem - the pamphlet supplied with the machine has printed misinformation. The pamphlet refers you to a website for FAQs and to download the manual. The website does not perform these tasks. I called the company; the very nice reception person knew nothing of the information on the pamphlet. She did refer me to a functional website, from which we were able to download the manual.Unfortunately, the manual is long and confusing to use. To get some functions to work we ended up searching for an online community of Canon users. We obtained some useful information, after weeding through some unhelpful postings.We reached by telephone a service rep from Canon who ultimately helped us activate the basic functions we want. Much of what we want to do does NOT need the cumbersome sets of controls and connections which the manual outlines. The "Remote UI" is not actually needed.The touch screen often fails to register pressing over an icon.Scan quality (scanning an image and sending it to a computer) is quite good. However, establishing the functionality to accomplish this task was frustrating.It appears that we will not be able to scan an image and send it by email from the machine, despite the purported capability to do this task.Print quality is reasonably good for text and images, perhaps not as good as other devices.Bottom line - poor touch screen, bad instruction manual, and complex set up render this device a very problematic purchase. Seek an alternative.
