This surely beats swallowing big bulky magnesium pills, that also have added fillers in them. This product has a slight lemony taste when put in water. Magnesium is crucial to take, since, most medications (especially blood pressure medication and steroids), deplete one of magnesium. We don't get it in our food because of our depleted soils. Being deficient in magnesium also raises your blood pressure, so maybe one needs magnesium and not the blood pressure medicine, eh? (but talk to you doc before stopping medication. Also if you are on comadin, check with your doc, as magnesium makes the cumadin more bio available and could cause too much thinning of the blood.Magnesium citrate is great.. it's also great if you have a sluggish digestive system. it's a healthier form of laxative compared to the very lethal Mira Lax, which most doctors prescribe, despite the fact Mira Lax on the FDA watch list. If you want to take magnesium, but without the laxative effect, get magnesium glycinate.i definitely recommend this product, great price, shipped in no time and is well packaged.

Do not buy! This never dissolved. It was just like white sand! Did not taste sour as it should. I contacted the company, and they never got back to me. I threw the entire batch away! Yuck.

I spoon the powder into my mouth, swish a bit with a water, and then rinse it down. Easy!For my wife, it mixes somewhat well, although there often remains some at the bottom of the glass. Need to add a little water to finish it.

Be prepared for a mouthful of sand. If you put about a tablespoon in a glass of water, you can swirl it around and swallow most of it while it's still suspended in the water. But you're gonna have some grittiness in your teeth no matter what. At this point I'm used to it and I don't care. Ultimately worth the major price discount from what the brand name stuff costs, but I'll probably go back to the expensive stuff after I finish this batch.

I think that this stuff is a pretty good herbal supplement when used everyday. I use it to help with migraine headaches!

I've taken magnesium citrate for many years and this product does nothing for me. It might be some form of magnesium, I cannot say, but it is defiantly not in citrate form. For one thing, I have always taken it in water .. backaches, headaches and constipation, which were my constant companions all my life, became a thing of the past. I bought this to save money and was shocked when it would not dissolve ''at all'' it's like sand. I even tried heating the water.. nothing... and I made it hot like coffee water and stirred and stirred. Believe me.. I gave it the ole college try because I cannot afford to waist anything anymore. I have to make everything I purchase count. So I have done without magnesium since I purchased this and now I have my constant companions.. backaches, headaches and constipation back. Today is the day I order the more expensive brand I use to take. In all honesty.. I believe someone along the line put the wrong label on and evidently on purpose.. Maybe they were out of the citrate.. so just sent whatever? Who knows. Hopefully, whatever this is, it is safe to take by the tablespoon.. because I have done this several times..more each time..in hopes I would get some effect. I never did.

While the size and price is very good, this powder is impossible to swallow. It does not dissolve even in lemon or lime juice (as magnesium citrate should) and does not even have the classic mild citrus taste which has me wondering if I've been duped. Since it does not dissolve and a tablespoon is the dosage for me, swallowing this in a class of water is difficult. It feels like sand and thus triggers a gagging reflex. Really wish I hadn't wasted my money on this.

kind of chalky but perfect for the price. best way for me to take is a spoonful down the hatch, followed by a big glass of water. very satisfied! will order again!
