I bought this as a gift, and the person loved it.

All of the design are definitely cool and I would say are more neo-traditional. It is better as a reference book in my opinion. The steo-by-step does not show the basic shapes or under drawings very well. For instance for a rose in a woman's hair, step 1 a circle, step 2 draw the entire rose. But if you have a decent drawing foundation it's worth the money just not for a brand new beginner.
