I had pretty much the same lights as these made by another company but were about 20 years old. Bought those at Costco back then. They lasted up to this point but the batteries started getting weak and would only stay lit for about 15 minutes. Also, some of the night lights stopped working. These are exactly the same just rebranded and there are several on Amazon that are the same with different names. These work great. They come on when you loose power or you can just lift it out of the cradle at any time and use it as a flashlight. It has a button on the side so you can turn it off or on as needed once out of the cradle. It also has a flashing mode you can use if you're walking you dog at night to alert on comming cars. There is a switch on the bottom of the cradle that allows you to have the night light at the bottom of the cradle off, or on all the time, or an automatic mode that turns the light on when it gets dark. The light is brighter when the switch is in the on position but is still bright enough in the automatic position. I like these because we have family visiting all the time and have these in the hallways and near the stairs, so everything is lit up at night if someone needs to make a trip to the bathroom or kitchen. The other nice thing is the built in plug can swivel to accommodate the position of your outlet. Doesn't matter if your ground is on top or bottom, you can just rotate the plug int the base. I bought these because of the package deal they had. I did have one that the night light wasn't working on the automatic mode but they switched it out with no problems.

I use them all the time not just when electricity goes off and they are the perfect night light not too bright when trying to sleep

I always struggled keeping up with flashlights but that has not been a problem since this purchase. They work just as advertised and I would recommend for anyone that has the same trouble as me!

Simple installation, just set the switch on the bottom to your preference for the night light and plug into an electrical outlet. The flashlight comes on automatically if the power goes out so it's easy to find and use. Flashlight recharges automatically while sitting on the base.

I use the Ivation light mainly as a nightlight but I like the fact that it's also a flashlight.
