Incredibly Efficient
This rice cooker is ideal for small portions. I’ve owned several rice cookers over the years, and while this one is simple in every way, it does its job extremely well. I love the compact size—it’s lightweight, easy to store, and a breeze to clean. The rice doesn’t stick or burn. Overall, this small rice cooker is a must-have.

Excellent Rice Cooker
I tried the pot as soon as it arrived and was very pleased. It cooked the rice quickly in about 15 minutes. It said to wait another 15 before opening but I waited about 10 minutes. I only made 1/4 cup dry rice and it was fluffy and fully cooked in such a short time. It was so nice to start it and walk away and not worry it would boil dry or stick to a pot on the stove. The pot was easy to wipe clean and nice and small to store away. Very pleased with this purchase It can cook up to 1.5 cups of dry rice I will probably only need to make 1/2 cup most days which is plenty for two people. Happy to have found this

Perfect little cooker for even half a cup of rice !
To decrease my intake of carbs I would now cook only half a cup of rice. It used to be I'd cook in a pot over the stovetop but I'd had to keep tabs until it's done. This small rice cooker is perfect for the amount of rice I use, just press the button and it's done in 20/30 minutes, white Jasmin rice comes out perfect! I will put a little bit more water for brown rice. Easy clean up and takes up little space on my small countertop.

Cute Junk!
I was thrilled to see the cute product when I opened it. I put in 1 cup of rice and some water, then pressed the button. Toward the end of the cooking cycle, it made a slight burning-plastic smell, but the rice still cooked. The next morning, I tried to use it again, but it didn’t work. The light wouldn’t turn red when I pressed the cook button. I realized the burning smell was probably the cooker overheating or burning itself. It killed itself at the first try, I'm returning the broken cooker back.

Like: Small, compact, very cute! cooking capacity is enough for my 8yo son. Doesnt like: Power cord not comparable to Aust power point and the outer of pot is HOT while cooking. It wont pass a Safety test if it's tested here in Aust. Thanks, Winnie

I have used this unit many times, mostly with Calrose rice on a 1:1 basis. I always use chicken broth for extra flavour but beef or vegetable broth are both great too. If using only water add a few shakes of salt. Results have always been perfect. You'll need to experiment with water/rice/cooking time levels for different rice types. The actual cooking time will be set by the machine but how long you leave it at the keep warm level will affect your results greatly. I find leaving for a total of 30 min. gives a slight nutty browning on the bottom which is nice. Memorized? Done. The real star here is the Bento box. It does not steam but merely heats chicken/fish/meat or already cooked rice. Checking with an accurate thermometer I read 165F which is what's recommended for safety. Do not depend on this container to cook things. Items other than vegetables must be pre-cooked as you are only heating to taste. Do not overfill as you will have a real mess of stuff coming out the vent on top. Also it will never be possible to order the inner pot as a part so be gentle with cleaning the non-stick coating. Cloth, a plastic brush or a white/blue Scotch Pad only. The latter 2 have no abrasive particles in them. Avoid the green or black. The supplied bag doubles as a very nice lunch bag. All in all, money well spent.
