this cable is not suitable for some cordless telephone base units. This particular RJ11 connector is a 4 wire one - but most telephone base units only require a 2 wire connector - so if you're looking for a replacement cable check which one you need. Apart from that it'll do the job it's designed for.

I ordered this cable because it looked thicker and better quality than the thin one that came with my router. It arrived quickly and it definitely is thicker and stronger feeling. Router connects fine with it.It probably won't make my broadband connection any better, but it's worth a try for the price :)
