The set up of these Meross plugs was straightforward and I can recommend using its Apple app rather than HomeKit or google home. Nice thing is that the routines for on/off of connected lights works without your iPhone connected to your local Wi-Fi so you can leave the house knowing the lights will come on according to your programmed routine. Will get some more.

Initially I could get one plug to talk to HomeKit, but also wanted to control it with Alexa, so downloaded the Meross app and walked through the reset procedure to add into Apple Home again and also the Meross app. It couldn't add it to Apple Home, so I removed the original from HomeKit and then restarted my iPhone. Tried it again, but still couldn't add it to either the Meross app or HomeKit, so I tried a second plug. The second plug flat-out refused to work with Apple Home or the Meross app. With the third plug, exactly the same - couldn't add it to either Apple Home or the Meross app. My network at home is a rock-solid Linksys Velop mesh that has been running for well over three years and never had any issues with it. Many other smart home devices on my network incl. Apple products, Alexa, Hue, Eve, Sonos and others - everything works fine apart from these Meross plugs. I am technical, but do not want to spend time troubleshooting something that should "just work". Returned for a refund and will purchase either Eve or Hue plugs instead, as my experience with those brands is exactly that - they just work.

These work with our existing Meros products and HomeKit, great product and great value.

The best thing about these is the ability to turn your devices off remotely. I have them in my children's rooms and they are set to turn off all devices after they leave for school meaning no wasted electricity

I love that these smart plugs are compatible with Apple HomeKit. You can set them up via the Meross app or via HomeKit.Everything worked as expected and I even got them to work with Google assistant.My major qualm with each smart plug is the space it takes due to it’s size when used with an extension box. I couldn’t use any of the sockets beside the plug because there was not enough space.I also don’t like that there’s no 5Ghz frequency support, only 2.4Ghz.Overall, this is a solid smart plug with excellent build quality. Just wished it has 5Ghz support.
