Cheap but serviceable
I really want to give it 3.5 stars, because 3 feels a little too condemning and 4 feels a bit too much. Is it as cheaply made as you'd expect a ~$30 licensed product to be? Absolutely. That much and maybe moreso, with the interior of the coat lapel not even sewn down and the sewing fairly loose. I cut off some loose thread at the left cuff, and the shoulder pads are warped lumps. Pockets are all simply sewn on flaps as you would expect. If you have long arms like I do, it will fit right when your arms are down but the cuff may be a bit high when your arms are up.Size-wise, I bought it with Large as my target and it works for that, but I can't imagine it working for a person who normally wears X-Large. It fits more like a largish medium for me.All of that said, it's pretty adequate for the price you're paying. I would expect a decent quality reproduction to be over $100, with the sky the limit on final cost, so as a cheap costume it works and the cloth itself is actually a decent weight compared to the thin cloth a lot of cheap costumers are made from. It's also appropriately hot and itchy for tweed :DFrom a viewing perspective, it's decently convincing, and if you have the luxury of someone who knows how to take in a coat at the waist a little, could probably look even better with just a little extra tailoring. For someone with the sewing skill to enhance it a bit who just didn't want to start from scratch, I'd think it would make a good base to modify as long as you don't stress it too much. But as is, I'd have no trouble with wearing it around a convention or costume party. It looks the part for under $40.

Good price but a little tight
It was a bit small on me. I usually get an XL and it fits but not so much. It was a good price and functional for the one day.

This Item really needs a better review because I did not find a review with enough detail to get an idea of how well this really was going to fit. So hopefully this review will help someone better understand. I bought this for comic con and went with the large/ Xlarge size. Just like most have said it is a little cheaply made but it does resemble one of the doctor’s jackets. When it comes to sizing I am 6 ft and 155 lbs. (so skinny and tall). In general It was a little on the big side for me. The arm length was almost right maybe an inch too long. The chest and shoulders seemed to be the most oversized. There was a lot of extra material in the back. The length of the coat itself fell about upper thighs about the same as the description picture shows on the model. However it still seemed a little bigger then I maybe originally expected. If someone the same size were to buy this they would probably be OK and happy. Only because I would speculate that the next size down (small/medium) would maybe fit the chest and shoulders better but I would guess that the sleeves almost for sure will be too small. (Unless you have short arms) because the sleeve length for the large/xlarge was just about right. I would love for them to make a true medium size but for a quick (relatively) cheap costume for Halloween or Comic con It’s not a bad purchase.

Needs an inside pocket. Doesn't have to be bigger on the inside.
This coat fits well. I did notice it was a bit itchy but nothing that can't be overlooked. I understand why they didn't make pockets and decided to go for flaps for the outside but I wish they would have made a pocket on the inside for a sonic screwdriver. This would allow you to pull it out like the doctor does and it wouldn't take up space in your pants pocket making it uncomfortable to sit without having to hold the sonic in your hands.

Run (but carefully)
Pros:-It looks just like in the photo-Easy to button-Easy to slip onCons:-Buttons were loose (so be careful when handling them)-Pockets are fake-Spot clean only (too delicate for machine wash & dry cleaning)I would definitely recommend this for a costume for Halloween or a conventions, but make sure to be careful with it. Also it's a very warm jacket, it's great if you live some place that's cold and not good if you live some place warm.

Great (prop) coat for the price!
Was looking for an inexpensive costume and this certainly fit the bill. The coat looks great, but it definitely is not one you can wear for other than a costume - no inner liner makes it almost impossible to wear without a shirt underneath, and the pockets aren't real. Seems pretty durable, though, and hopefully I get a few years out of it for Halloween time!

Better than I hoped.
It's a well maid costume piece. Looks good, fits good. Took a chance at less than 1/2 the price of many others. Glad I saved my $$. I am 5' 10" 220 lb. Thick chested, medium build. bought the large/extra large and prayed. It's a little snug, but I can move around comfortably.

Great Alternative
This was a great alternative to an actual tweed/suede jacket. However, it did fit tight across the shoulders even though I got a XL, for reference I wear a size 44L jacket. The sleeve drag is pretty signifigant as it has no liner so taking it off and putting it on multiuple times will prove awkward. Also, the jacket leaves a lot of lint on its first few wears. But again at one tenth the price its an exceptional value.
