Safe for bird house
I bought the 20 ml “Taupe” to paint a bird house. It was the only exterior paint I could find that was listed safe for birds. First, the color is not as expected, as you can see on the attached photo it is grey. I’d have not chosen this one as I like warmer colors. Second, the application is fabulously easy, non messy, and I didn’t waste a drip. Third, drying time took more than listed 24h. More like 48 hours. After that some paint still got on my hands upon handing. Fourth, this paint seems to be somewhat soft, meaning it doesn’t create a hard barrier but can be easily scratched off.Although, I was very impressed by the ease of application, due to other above listed factors I decided to go with a different brand for another exterior item that didn’t need a 0 voc paint. If I have another bird house I’d possibly just go with Rubio again.

Awesome
Awesome product. Easy to apply. It completely reconditioned my front door. After 2 years of the wood being pounded by the sun and rain, this product made the door look new again. This tone does not change the color of the wood. It has a slight odor, but no harsh chemicals. Really great. Worth every penny.

Great product to work with. Easy to apply. Beautiful color. I'll see how it holds in California weather.

great 1st impression
My outdoor walnut table was fading from 3 years of sun and snow exposure, almost to the point of not looking at all like walnut anymore.I got a sample size bottle of chocolate. It beautifully restored and enhanced the richness of the original walnut. Super easy to rub in. Very matte looking, but who wants a plastic wrap on gorgeous nature?I hope it holds up for years. Definitely wouldn't mind having to touch it up every couple years, it's that easy to use.

An easy finish but not a good one
Thought I would try this out instead of my tried and true water based polyurethane spray finish and buffing routine. The finish was very easy and quick to apply, However it looked flat and uninspiring.Use it if you want, but I think a rattle can poly finish over wood dye looks much better. The poly spray takes several coats, needs sanding and looks best with a good buff, but it is worth the work.
