On Point, funny, encouraging, relatable
This little book is chock full of advice, encouragement and stories that every military spouse can relate to. It challenged my heart in so many ways, but specifically the chapter “We Signed Up to Be Part of a Local Church”. Finding a new church every time we move feels awkward and sometimes painful, but the author offers encouragement through the process. When I was engaged to my husband, people who had previously been in the military had plenty of things to say about life in the military, but nothing could have prepared me for the things I would really encounter. The author of this book is so raw and real about things she actually experienced, and I found myself nodding along in agreement because I’ve experienced similar things! I wish I would have had this book many years ago, but my hope is that every military spouse would read this book and be encouraged.

There was no true way to know beforehand, how God would use us in our journey for His glory.
“Know What You Signed Up For”!Those words can bring so much frustration to a military spouse when used in the wrong context. Often used to jab at our hardships. But Megan changed the game. There was no way of knowing beforehand how our military life would play out. But Gods plan is being fulfilled through our journey.Megan is full of humor and grit as she encourages spouses to live on Mission during each trial they face (and there will be plenty), at every new duty station, and when the season comes to an end.She brings new life and meaning to what Gods plan is for us. She gives us reminders that we are meant to shine His glory in all our seasons whether they be painful or joyful. She has written a beautiful tool for any Mil Spouse toolkit.

Practical (and funny) book that uncomplicates living a life that reflects your faith
This book is filled with amazing insight into how to live out the Great Commission as part of the military community, though honestly anyone who is looking for a guide in what it looks like to live their life for Christ would benefit from reading. Megan breaks down the ministries all believers are called to - our families, the local church, and serving those around us - giving a “how to” guide that had me literally laughing out loud at points and crying at others. I often overcomplicate what it means to serve in ministry, but this book encouraged me to remember the basics of loving God and loving people and shows how to practically live that out amidst all the obstacles of being a military family.

A beautiful Christian faith-based resource for military spouses
I can’t rave enough about this incredible book. From walking us through her own journey to beautifully laying out the path for living on mission as Jesus intended, it’s the resource every military spouse needs to have in her pocket. I laughed, cried and nodded throughout reading this book. It feels like you’re sitting down with a friend, one who isn’t afraid to turn you towards Jesus as the answer and will love you through the hard times. Megan has created a tool for not just brand-new military spouses but for seasoned ones, too. The heart to serve and bring people closer to Jesus and God’s word within this book shines on every page.

What I wish I had known…
This is a book I wish I had had when I first started my military spouse journey. With frank acknowledgement of the difficult and unique parts of military life along with a biblical framework for how we should approach being a military spouse, Megan does an excellent job of keeping the focus on the faith-bases “mission” of military spouses, marriage, and a bit of motherhood. The perfect book for new military spouses, salty military spouses, and those trying to understand this messy, beautiful military life.

Did you know?
Military Spouses unite! If you're tired of hearing the standard answer, "you signed up for it" when we are frustrated with the often challenging, always changing never-ending complexities of being a military spouse, look no further! Megan brings a Christian perspective to this life that is honest, direct and lays the challenges at the feet of Christ. She lays out the plan and foundation that He built for us, if we choose to follow them. A must read!

Make your home a place of refuge.
Megan reminds us that we are called to open our homes and help others. She reminds us of God's calling to look after those around us. Just as Jesus healed, fed, and loved people, we are called to help those around us. The church body needs to grow in this area but each one of us can do our part to start the revolution around us.

Encouraging and Convicting
As a fairly new military spouse (2 years as a spouse), it has been difficult finding my place in the 3 duty stations we have already lived together. The author gives real, practical examples of how we as military families can live out the Great Commission. This book was equally encouraging and convicting! Every military spouse should read this book!
