Fort Knox Could Learn a Thing or Two
As someone who has locked myself out of my house more times than I can count (my dog is judging me), I needed a lock that wouldn’t judge me—but would definitely judge anyone trying to break in. Enter the Yale Lock. This lock is a fortress in disguise. It’s smarter than I am. It doesn’t just click shut; it sighs in relief, knowing no intruder will ever get past its invisible yet impenetrable walls. The only thing this lock is missing is a voice that says, “Nice try, buddy. Better luck next time,” after every failed attempt.Installation was so easy, even my confused houseplant could’ve done it. And the fact that it lets me feel like a secret agent every time I unlock it with my phone? Unreal. I half expect it to ask for a secret password or give me a wink every time I open my front door.Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Will I ever forget my keys again? Who knows. But at least when I do, the Yale lock will be the last thing keeping my stuff safe… and possibly mocking me from the other side of the door.

Be careful of your door thickness!
The deadbolt is adjustable to fit doors up to 2.25", THE LEVER HANDLE IS NOT! Although sold as a 2.25" door kit the lever is absolutely useless beyond 1.75". No extension kit available. If you to buy junk from Yale, please just buy the deadbolt. I recommend going to a respectable lock manufacturer.

Difficult to setup but solid once configured
The installation instructions for the door handle were too generic and designed to work for many models. It made the process much more difficult to follow. The instructions were also completely wrong about the door handle detent direction. The WiFi module was also a pain. I have an access point 4 feet from the door and it still didn't want to connect. After a few hours it did eventually just start working with great WiFi signal. The annoying part is that the product description on Amazon and the app both say the product only works on 2.4Ghz WiFi but both the locks I own ended up connecting to my 5Ghz channel. The app configuration is a bit clunky. The notifications about door usage are a bit slow sometimes but most of the time they arrive within 30sec.I think the most likable part of the deadbolt is the pleasant sound of the keypad and the chimes when unlocked.

The only problem we had was that I did not have GMail as my email address and we have chromebooks.
I had been hospitalized a few times last year and this year. It was difficult to answer the door and even lock the door. This is a lifesaver.

I think I like it
I bought this mainly for the auto-unlock feature. So far it has worked about 50% of the time. There must be a trick to getting it to work that I haven't figured out yet.I bought this lock twice. The first package came with incorrect handles. The door handles had holes (someone else posted a photo) that exposed the inside of the mechanism on both sides of the door. The second package came with the right ones. The instructions for installing the door knob were horrible. The were not written for this model. After a loooooot of trial and error I finally got it on correctly. I wish I had taken photos to share with you but I didn't think of it until it was already assembled and I am just not going to do that one more time.I like how the keypad is not visible until you press the Yale button. It's less obvious as a keypad lock.
