Good quality connectors. This thing actually exceeded my expectations by miles!
Wow. I'm a skeptic when it comes to aftermarket products that seem too good to be true. I just received this and installed it in my 17 Silverado 5.3L with eAssist, and all I can say is that it works awesome. Literally took less than a minute to install, and I left it on the factory setting of 2.6. I could tell the difference as soon as I fired her up.. doing a quick blip of the throttle, and the throttle position correlated with the engine revs.. just like a cable actuated throttle would respond. I took her for a quick spin, and the best way to describe it is that it's like driving a truck equipped with a 6.2L, in throttle response. The transmission seems to be less busy and seems to drop into the correct gear pattern as you would expect it to.. I wish I would've bought this years ago. This is the best mod I've done to this truck hands down. Words can't describe the change I experienced, you need to try it for yourself, you won't be sorry, and it's only $45... As for the longevity of the unit, time will tell, but the connectors are of equal quality as the OEM and have good positive engagement and come with the proper connector position assurance locking tab.

Works. Lengthy review. Read if you're really interested.
Caution, lengthy review. First, gets rid of throttle lag. That alone was worth it. Beware, there are a lot of negative reviews and I haven't had this very long. Now the details. In sport mode my 2018 Silverado is perky like a cable throttle and the frustrating downshifting when coming to a stop is gone. My mileage went from an average of 15 mpg to 17 mpg.In racing mode the throttle was snappy but pegged out at about 40% of the pedal. The truck lunges in forward and reverse and drives like a manual shift with a tight new clutch. I drove it quite a bit to get a good feel for it. It was fun to drive but got old quickly. I drove in town and a couple of road trips to towns an hour away... 35 minutes in this mode! Fun to use now and then but no practical use... Quick out of the hole but as you know, not any faster. Will not give you the ability to race! Observed for three hours of driving and get this, my mileage remained consistently at 8 mpg per the truck computer. That's correct, 8 mpg! Reflected at the pump. Economy mode is a lot smoother than it was without the 9 Drive and my mileage went to just under 20 (19.8 mpg). Tested this in town and two road trips around 4 hours each with interstate driving at 70 mph on one trip and 78 mph on the other using cruise control (which some feels hurts mileage.) I now use economy for travel and P2-3 for normal driving. I now have a truck with a "normal" throttle and a gas saving mode for trips. Well worth the money. I see many complaints about these failing after a brief period so... We will see. For guys like me who are searching for a balance of performance and economy for a daily driver I will include my choices. I did a lot of research on throttle controllers, tuners, exhaust configurations, and what will or will not void a warranty. I chose the 9 Drive, a cold air intake (Rough Country), and an OBD box to negate the "Active Fuel Management" system. My 2018 now performs like a truck should and the cash investment was very affordable. I replaced the stock muffler (and flapper valve) with a Thrush Cherry Bomb and added a shutoff valve. Now I open the exhaust at the tail of the Cherry Bomb and advance the 9 Drive and I have a truck that runs and sounds amazing. Then I set it back to P2-3 and shut the exhaust valve,(which sends the exhaust through the stock pipe and resonator), and I can take the wife out in my "stock" truck that is smooth and quiet. Best of both worlds. She grew up, I didn't. Hope this helps, especially you Silverado owners!

Responsive...BUT Faulty
I originally bought this back in late May of this year. Installation was simple and it did what was advertised. It shortened the amount of lag from peddle which was nice for the past 3 months. Fast forward until today on my way to work. I live in a mostly rural area and when I went to accelerate onto the highway my truck went into limp mode & wouldn't allow me to go above 30mph. Without a safe shoulder to pull off onto, I was forced to drive it a few miles to get to the parking lot of a Dollar G. From there I was able to scan the truck & got the code P2138 (Throttle/Pedal Pos Sensor/Switch D/E Voltage Correlation). I then proceeded to unplug the module and continue the rest of my morning commute. No further issues were observed the rest of the way into work or the way home after unplugging the module. Obviously this could've led to a more dangerous situation had I been traveling on a busier road & heavier traffic. If you are interested in remedying your throttle response I suggest you look somewhere else as this thing took a dump on me after just 3 months!

Great little add-on for some boost
I bought this for a 2014 VW Jetta. It works great and I love the boost off the line. Noticeable difference in sport mode. It hooks up easy and I have had no issues since install 6 mod ago. I recommend for a little bit more umphhh on take off.

Affordable way to put some pep in your vehicle.
I have to say.. I’m very surprised at how well this works! I installed this on my 2014 Chevy Silverado 5.3 V8 and it really does eliminate the pedal delay.Installation is easy enough. Just disconnect the connector on your gas pedal under the dash and insert the Throttle Response Controller connector in between. Secure it so it doesn’t get in the way of your feet and find a location for the tiny controller display. The device is powered by the pedal connector so you don’t have to run wires and find open connections in the fuse box.It has several different modes that range from Race to Sport to Eco. All with some level of adjustment. Modes can be changed on the fly while you are driving. Not only did it remove the pedal delay but it feels like it tells the transmission to act differently as well. In eco and standard mode it seems to have removed the aggressive down shifts that occasionally happen on my truck.I only have one tiny criticism.. I wasn’t thrilled the bulky usb3 style connector that connects the display to the device module by the gas pedal. I feel It limits where you can place the device cleanly. It would be nice if there was an options to plug in on either side or a right angle connector.I can’t speak to the longevity yet but I will update this review if anything changes. For the price.. I say give it a try.
