Buy 2 off and swap for cleaning every 2/3 days , this will extend filter life by weeks and months , obviously dependent on individual tanks.Shut filter flow off remove , fit clean strainer , turn back on - so easy. But saves so much main filter cleaning by stopping mum entering main filter.
