Also the lid is easier to open and the lighting is very stylish. **Q: Is there space and the facility to coil any excess power cable under the kettle base/stand?** A: Yes, there is a circular space to wind the cable under the stand. But the lead is fairly short anyway. **Q: Difficult to tell from the picture, is it easy to see the water level? Does the water level panel light up? Seen advertised as 7 elsewhere but looks like 4 on Amazon?** A: It shows the 4 temperatures of 70 80 90 & 100 each of which can be selected but also the 5 degree increments between them can also be selected and so has the 7 settings.
