Kinda thought this was a cheapo but. It has a lowpoint then the output is raised... so I thought water would stay low..... Nope! The Filter Actually Will Not Let The Water Molecule Pass. (Amazing)

There may have been reasons for the design decisions that were made with this product, but I have had a pretty poor experience with this funnel, ultimately leading up to its failure. We used this funnel to filter gas for a small 2 stroke engine to protect against particles less than 30 microns and also against water. Upon first use, the main thing that was annoying was that you have to fill the chamber up about 1 inch before it even starts to filter, as the filter element is not sitting on the bottom. That means that when you're done pouring, you still have a significant amount of gas just sitting there in the bottom. We managed to tilt the funnel one way or another at the end, so that more gas made its way through the filter elements, and only had a small quantity of gas remaining at the end that could never be filtered. With this, we just poured it back into the original container. That workflow was ok for a while, but finally, yesterday after we were done pouring, we noticed that the funnel chamber drained completely. The bottom layer is sealed only by some junky silicone-like compound that apparently lost effectiveness after only a few pours. I can't believe that something rated for fuels would fail in such a way after such little time. This failure has effectively rendered the funnel useless and I will be returning it.

An impressive product. Had trouble with my BX Kubota tractor not running when a load (lawn mower) was applied. Cost me over $400 to have it hauled into the dealer to have both fuel filters replaced. Bought this funnel/filter to start filtering my diesel fuel before pouring it into my Kubota gas tank. Filtering just one gallon of fresh diesel fuel I discovered the funnel/filter trapped about 3 ounces of WATER before it went into my Kubota fuel tank! Really impressed and confident this purchase will save me hundreds of dollars in no time!

Nice wide funnel is very functional. I was having problems with local diesel fuel being contaminated with water. This claims to hold back the water in contaminated fuel. It is easy to use as I use this for a Kubota sub-compact tractor which can be messy to fill with a full 5 gallon diesel portable container. The wide opening facilitates filling. The one thing I do not like is that the water screen in the center does not go all the way to the bottom of the filter and leaves a few ounces of diesel in the funnel that must be discarded which is a bit of a inconvenience.

It did what it said it would it filter out trash don’t know how it works with water in fuel don’t have that issue. The only thing I didn’t like was it retained fuel in funnel due to screen not going all the way to the bottom.
